McDonald’s

Holy crap this place is repulsive. There’s homeless people in the booth. Gangsta boys blocking the door. Parking lot filled with people at 8:00am that stare as you try to pass them, looking intimidating. All the doors are locked but one and that’s blocked by men. The bathroom had ashes in the sink and reeked of smoke. I’m happy I made it out of there alive. Chose not to eat there because I felt my death was eminent.

Terribly slow service. This place is skid row. Consider yourself lucky if you get to the door without being asked for change. I normally don’t do negative reviews but this McDonald’s is the exception. Waited 10 minutes for a breakfast sandwich.

My goodness, the absolute worse drive-​thru I have ever been into. The wait is horribly long. DO NOT ever use this drive-​thru after 3:00am, why this is a 24 hour McDonalds is beyond me. STAY AWAY from this location!!!

The staff here is really friendly but the drive through absurdly slow and the last two times I’ve visited they have given me the wrong food altogether. Three weeks ago I ordered chicken nuggets and was given a southern style chicken sandwich. Today I ordered a premium wrap and got chicken nuggets. Somebody is seriously dropping the ball at this McDonalds!

They’re a McDs. They are always busy because they are downtown and across the street from JCTC. The inside could use some sprucing up (read: cleaning). I usually go through the drive thru and that is usually backed waaaay up. So… slow, kinda dirty. The food is meh… it’s McDonalds. But I have had better McDonalds.

McDonald’s is McDonalds is McDonalds. Until you get here. I assume the food is the same but I personally don’t care for McDonalds but do/​can eat there every once and a while. This place, naaaaasty. Looked as if the dining room and lobby had not been cleaned in days (based on McDs number of customers). I was just getting a $ 1 drink so I got it (didn’t want to go s block or so back to the Ts (as from my earlier gas station one star review).
Staff was rude (not to me but to several customers around me) and were more interested in their own conversation than any customer’s needs. As I was leaving two school buses were arriving. I felt sorry for them as I heard an employee say loudly, «s**t, more f****ing kids». Wow, really !?! You market DIRECTLY to kids, or was the clown just for fans of the movie IT?

Years ago I considered this to be one of the worst if not the worst McDonalds location in Louisville, Kentucky. Service was always slow and it seems they played a racist game against white customers as they were quick to ignore you if you were white, giving preference to black customers behind you. The place was also infested with beggars and panhandlers from nearby homeless shelters quite often. I still prefer the location at 400 East Market Street to this one.
Nevertheless I have had to update this review to 3 stars from the original 1 star based on experiences in 2015. Service is much better and the customers appear to be being served now on a first come first served basis instead of a racial basis. The management has taken aggressive steps to combat the beggar, panhandler problems and they are nowhere near as bad as years ago. Cleanliness has also improved. I can now recommend this McDonald’s location when I could not do so before. I still prefer the location at 400 East Market Street however.
