I love this place. I stop and get lunch to go often. The owner is kind and the food is always fresh. I highly recommend.

I really enjoyed the marble coffee I ordered and the environment was quiet, which was nice for studying. I do wish they had better advertising only so my husband and I could’ve started enjoying this place sooner. We will be visiting every weekend!

This is the best restaurant we have in Okolona/Hillview, so I hope more people will give it a chance. Café Lovewell is a charming restaurant that is surprisingly roomy and comfortable. The décor is just as eclectic and interesting as you might find in a Heine Bros or Sunergos. They also have surprisingly long hours for a business run by only two people. It’s rare to find a local restaurant in this part of town that offers vegetarian options, but Café Lovewell offers two. The panini is particularly good — think Panera, but homemade and close to home. I also had a peppermint frappucino after dinner. The coffee itself(I think they use a Sunergos blend) was much richer than Starbucks, and the crushed peppermint trimmings were a nice extra touch. That’s stellar when your alternatives in the area are DIY or Speedway«cappuccino.» I’ll be back often.

Very charming café. Super friendly staff. Had a salted caramel latte, which was perfection. The chicken salad sandwich and potato salad hit the spot. Forgot to have a desert, but will next time. Not a lot of food choices but what I had was food. Looking forward to going back again.

Good coffee and desert reviews drew me here — Coffee was excellent, worthy of a return trip. Desert selection was lacking, as was the ambience. Closed midday from 11 – 4. Fast and friendly service.

Their coffee is amazing! It is good quality and well crafted. I have had their Caesar salad and a few other lunch options and they are simple but tasty. The staff is friendly. Their baked goods are awesome. The strawberry shortcake was one of the better ones I have had. It is a really good place to have a light lunch or go grab some coffee. I really enjoy it. A hidden gem tucked away in a not so good location. This is worth the detour off Preston road to grab a coffee and lunch. A girlfriend and I needed(ok fine, wanted) coffee and lunch after Zumba and an ab workout and we had passed this local gem on our way. So we meandered back and grabbed a dirty chai and a chipotle turkey sandwich on wheat with potato salad as our sides. Yummy on both! The chipotle turkey has a kick so if you don’t like your sandwich having a kick, pick something else! The dirty chai tea has a shot of espresso and was delicious. They have a small gift shop area and a lovely area to entertain the kiddos here while you wait(see my pic). Overall impression: methinks my Saturday Zumba workout calorie burn is in danger of being replaced with lovewell café’s coffee calories… Recommended!

This place is hidden treasure. It is tucked away on a side street and from the outside it doesn’t stand out. I drove by dozens of times before someone finally told me that it was there. I wish I had found it sooner because inside is an adorable coffee shop with unique retail offerings. The coffee is good and hot. There are plenty of choices for such a small shop. The lunch menu is limited but the food was tasty. I recommend trying the potato salad. The deserts looked decadent. I haven’t tried them yet but I’m sure I will soon. The staff are friendly and warm. The environment is quiet with two rooms that are completely separated. There is also free WiFi. The setup is perfect for studying, working, or conversing over coffee without disrupting others. The retail setup is a bit kitschy but cute. There are at least a dozen items that I want to buy. Overall this is a great addition to the Okalona area.

If you’ve spent enough time in the Okolona area then you know that they are greatly lacking in coffee shops, and mom & pop places alike. Enter Café Lovewell… This place is great. My mom and I stopped in on a rainy afternoon for coffee and lunch. We were immediately greeted by the friendly owner and she gave us a tour of the place and menu since it was our first time visiting. We ordered vanilla lattes and enjoyed them in the café seating area with tons of great vintage seating and decorations. The lattes were delicious– not too sweet at all, which is what I often dislike about specially lattes. The owner was quick to bring out the chipotle turkey sandwich and potato salad we were splitting. The sandwich was fresh and tasty, but what made it great was the homemade chipotle mayo. And the potato salad was amazing. All for about $ 6 and big enough for 2 people to split! The atmosphere was perfect for sitting and talking a while. It definitely is not lacking in charm, and there are several rooms throughout the café so it is large enough to hold quite a few people. I can’t wait to visit again with friends and more family! P. S. The owner makes all of the desserts herself and they look AMAZING. Can’t review the taste since I didn’t get one, but I will vouch that they look delicious.

Very cozy feel to the place. Plenty of room and a very friendly atmosphere. Almost felt like I was at a friends house having a cup of coffee. Reasonable price and a good selection. The owner said they were adding soups to the menu soon. Items on the menu for kids too. Very nice place. Gonna be a repeat customer for sure.

Café Lovewell was much needed in the Okolona area. Aside from Starbucks in Jefferson Mall, the area was lacking any coffee shops at all. And come on, who wants to walk through a mall just to enjoy a PSL? While there I ordered a mocha. The coffee was great, maybe not my favorite, but good for such a small place. What really sells it is it’s charm. The owner has clearly put a lot of work into creating the cute atmosphere that it offers. Speaking of owner, she makes all of the desserts herself. I haven’t had one yet, but they look heavenly. I have liked the business’ Facebook page and drool over the pictures she posts all the time. I can’t wait to go back and grab a small lunch and a pastry.

Just had the most wonderful time at Café Lovewell! The staff and owner were SOOO very nice! I had an iced mocha and a chicken salad sandwich… both were excellent! It’s truly a great place to hang out with friends and meet up with people from my church! I highly recommend anyone to come and enjoy the love at Café Lovewell!

Very cute local coffee shop. It didn’t appear to have a drive through but I don’t mind getting out if the car to stretch my legs. It is either very new or the owner does a really good job of keeping it very taken care of. I didn’t order food so I can’t say anything about a menu, but they’re open 8a-8p so I can assume they offer a small dining menu. Aside from coffee and other drinks, you can purchase trinkets and knickknack-ish things. Almost like a coffee shop/boutique. Adorable! The only reason I gave it 4stars and not 3 was because the employees(and seemingly the manager) weren’t exactly bright-eyed or bushy tailed. The girl at the counter was quiet and seemed unsure of her job. and as a customer it made me feel weird. But I soon figured out why she probably came across that way because the *manager walked in to fill my order and she was pretty condescending to the girl. I’d ordered my coffee fat free so the girl was told to grab the skim milk. She was confused because I said fat free. Maybe she’s not a big milk drinker? But the manager kind of made her embarrassed that she didn’t know and it was awkward for me :/

Great place. Latte’s are great. Lots of seating. TV room. Wifi. Great little family business, great people. No drive thru. Must get out of the car. maybe they can add some day. Small lunch menu but everything I have tried has been wonderful.
