You don’t get much better for a casual mid range Steakhouse. They really do a great job of cooking their steaks.

We went on Christmas Eve, so we knew it would be crazy busy. They appeared to be understaffed, as the women’s bathrooms were entirely out of toilet paper and our food took(according to them) longer than usual: «the grill is full!» This was my first time at Longhorn’s, so my carnivorous roots were very excited for a good steak. My filet was cooked to perfection, but over peppered. I received about a third of the usual size of baked potato toppings, yet 3x the typical amount of ranch dressing on our salads. Our server was hilarious, with a joke coming out of his mouth every time he opened it. Overall, we had a good experience, but I can’t say I’ll be choosing Longhorn’s over the other steakhouses in the area.

I honestly didn’t expect this place to be that great but boy was I surprised! Some of the best chicken parmesan and sirloin I’ve ever had! We can’t wait to go back. Really nice western country setting as well.

Have never been disappointed here when I craving a good steak. From their sirloin steaks to filets they get it right every time, even with carry out orders.

I had the absolute best dining experience I’ve had in years. I had a couple kid free hours and wanted a nice quiet dinner. I was seated immediately in a booth, the waitress showed right up to get my drink order, followed right up with my food order after she brought my drink. My Cesar salad came right out, very crisp and fresh romaine lettuce, not soggy one bit. 8 minutes or so later my t bone came out perfectly cooked. My steamed broccoli was delicious. Waitress was very respectful of my personal time and didn’t make it a point to keep showing up to get brownie points. She kept my sweet tea full and I couldn’t have gotten a better server. I can’t remember her name, sorry. All the staff there were professional and very polite. I will be returning very soon. Shout out to Jaime J., also a waitress there who is an awesome addition to the staff

Exceptional food and service tonight. I go there often because they are pretty consistent and that is getting harder to find. The salad was ice cold and crisp, the baked potato was hot and fresh and our server was excellent. We also had many other servers speak to us as they walked by and we noticed the entire service team greeting each others tables, running food and taking care of everyone with smiles on their faces. Pretty amazing!

This is one of my favorite restaurants to dine in at. The food is absolutely delicious. My husband orders the Longhorn steak and I order the parmesean crusted chicken entrée. We sometimes share the firecracker chicken wraps which is amazing! Some may think it’s too pricey but you get what you pay for. We rarely have any trouble with the service. The manager always stops by your table to make sure everything is good for us. I highly recommend anyone to try this place!

I’m from California out on a business trip. I found this place on Unilocal and decided to give it a try. I sat at the bar and had the most amazing service I have ever had at a restaurant. Megan was the bartender on duty tonight. She was sweet, attentive and she made a great martini! She offered me suggestions on what to eat and it was great! I had the prime rib. It was perfect. I will definitely come back and it’s mostly because of how awesome Megan is as a server. Thank you so much!

Used to frequent this one until one evening they hired a brand new cook who didnt know the difference between a medium well and a rare steak. Sent a steak back 3 times to be cook right, all to no avail. Still love their appetizers. But when I do go I no longer have the steak. sad isnt it?

Tonight is my mother’s 38th birthday. She wanted to enjoy herself at Longhorn, but was sadly disappointed. The steak was mediocre, the waitress left for 20 minutes before returning without steak sauce and my mother’s steak was cold by then. She asked a busser to bring the steak sauce and even tipped him $ 3. He came back to inform her it would cost extra then went back to get the sauce and took 10 minutes to bring it back. When the waitress came back she started giggling and acting stupid, she was obviously under the influence. The manager didn’t do shit. Very unprofessional. Never going back.

I’ve never eaten in the restaurant, as we are definitely carry out people. The atmosphere is very nice, though, and the staff at the bar(who handle carry out orders) are always kind and helpful. I personally think that this place is a little expensive– my husband likes to eat here, which is the only reason we ever patronize this steakhouse(we don’t eat steak.) You’d expect steak to be expensive, but even the chicken and sandwiches are pretty pricey. The food is usually good, though. I particularly like the salads and bread. If they ever bring back the butterscotch bourbon pudding, which is on a spring seasonal menu, avoid it– it resembles melted crayons, and the pudding had begun to separate and get pretty gross. I tried a few bites and it didn’t really have any taste. No butterscotch, no bourbon, no anything.

One of my favorite places to eat right now. Professional staff, fantastic food, great atmosphere. I try something different each visit. Had the ribs tonight, so tender and love their BBQ sauce. Their Brie salad was mouthwatering.

Perfect Ribs, tender and full of flavor. Our waiter Kevin gets props for being courteous, well mannered, and on the ball. Drinks were full, timing was great, and he was very knowledgable about local cuisine. I was impressed with the quality, cleanliness, and service! Thanks for a great experience.

I’m not one to frequent chain eateries… but I am one to give credit where credit is due. I visit LongHorn more than any other chain restaurant. There ain’t no hiding what this place claims to be and I think they hit that mark. They do steaks and do ‘em well. If you’re into a steak house where a pretentious waiter with an accent places a napkin on your lap, cuts your steak for you like a child, then do not visit LongHorn. But if you like a big olé slab of beef, gently seasoned, cooked as ordered with a nice hearty baked potato and some of that sweet tea, pull up a chair! I love that they don’t cover up the steak here. If I want steak, I want steak, dag gone it. I don’t want it smothered in some fancy wine reduction or encrusted in some cheese mix. I want cow. Pure. Simple. Juicy. Cow. Moooo. I’m a sucker for a bone-in ribeye. Mine has always been cooked to a perfect medium and served juicy and tender. The service is always on point — we never run dry on drinks or bread. I encourage fellow carnivores to give this place a shot. I’m keeping this review short and to the point. I believe that for the price, LongHorn makes a pretty good steak.

Every time I go here, which isn’t too often, I get Flo’s Fillet… and she never lets me down! Food is great and service has always been outstanding. Sharita took care of us today and she was SO friendly and amazing!

In every way this place is better than Texas Road House, Outback, Ponderosa, or Cattlemens. Better steaks, better service, not nearly as noisy, better and more creative side dishes and drinks. It has a western lodge or ranch style atmosphere instead of the noisy and dark road side bar vibe Texas Road house goes for. and the over priced mediocre Outbacks. I have not disliked anything I have ordered here. Sure it’s not a Ruth Chris, AJ Alexanders, or other higher end steak place but it is markedly better than most chain steak joints.

I’ll admit it. I’ve become a snob. Though I grew up in Louisville and ate at chains oftentimes when eating out, I have become a «local» snob. However, if my parents(or anyone for that matter) are asking me out to dinner, I’m likely to go anywhere. Upon arriving at Longhorn, I told myself that it better be good, because there was a wait… a 45 minute wait. Whew. After standing in the crowded entrance area, we were finally seated. Our server was nice and friendly, but at that point we were plum hungry! Though I appreciated the thought in their«Under 500» menu(as I am attempting to stay healthy), I ended up ordering a Grilled Chicken & Strawberry Salad. It was pretty good. It didn’t knock my socks off and I don’t think it was worth the 45 minute wait, but again… I was hungry. My family was overall happy with their menu choices. So back to being a snob… I would probably go to Longhorn again. I wouldn’t wait so long though. And if you’re into chain restaurants or want to stay in that area, you’ll probably like it. But I’d overall recommend checking out one of Louisville local restaurants to truly experience what the city has to offer. Note: If you’re into ranch(as in ranch dressing), my ranch-loving sister LOVED the ranch and thought it might have been the best she’s ever had.
