A very modest, family-run grocery and restaurant. Everything from scratch, all delicious. The other day, my better half had an asada plate that came with some truly outstanding beans. I ordered the pupusa plate(3 for $ 8), and I’m already planning my next trip back. In fact, it’s killing me to write this review at a moment when I’m hungry. Check your service expectations at the door. You’ll be treated with courtesy, sure, but the children help take orders, and no one in the whole place speaks English. It’s a pathetic scene when any communication has to rely on my pitiful Spanish. When it’s time to pay, just go to the counter and make grunting noises — it worked for me. The grocery is the less exciting end of the business — almost all dry goods, the exception being some good queso and pan dulce. The pan dulce is made in house. I haven’t tried that yet, but it’s only a matter of time.

Natalie H. mistakenly called this a «Mexican» restaurant but it is, in fact, a Honduran place.(No, not the same thing) She is correct that the food is delicious, a great value, and well worth the trip. If you’re Honduran and are missing treats from home, this is a good place to stop!

The listing doesn’t mention it, but this is also a restaurant! Some of the best, most authentic Mexican in town. It’s cheap, too! Their steak burrito is excellent, and comes with cilantro, onions, beans, and rice. They are a good size, and cost about $ 5. The cheese is a white, crumbly type which I found unusual, yet amazing. The neighborhood is a bit seedy, and is located near a place called Bottoms Up if that tells you anything. Don’t let it stop you.
