They have sleds when no one else has any left!!! Keith’s saves the day!!!
I once took a lock there to have it fixed. It cost me THREE bucks to get it fixed and to have two
replacement keys made. Can’t beat it!!! They’re the best ever!!!

Keith’s came through in the clutch when I was having an epic snow day sledding at Cherokee Park when I entered the big air competition and split my sled in two on the golf course hill! I needed a sled fast to advance to the semifinals and they followed through with a solid piece of USA molded plastic that will fly me to the moon off when I bomb down the hills at Cherokee Park. Although I hate the name Keith, (it’s just a personal thing) it won’t stop me from shopping here. They have everything you could need. And a bunch of stuff you didn’t know you need but you do now because it’s cool.
But local, stay local. The best little hardware store around.

Keith’s is a neighborhood treasure. Need a ½″ 69-​cent hose clamp? Right here, sir. One ¾″ washer? In this drawer. Old used strike plate? An assortment hanging on this wall. Walk in, tell the guy sitting in front of the counter what you want and he takes you directly to it. A quart of ceiling paint? Screen door hardware? Leaf blower? Flower pot? Front porch rocking chair? In and out in 1 minute unless you want to hang around and chat over a bag of popcorn.

This is your quintessential neighborhood hardware store. It’s been around for what feels like forever, and the few times I’ve been in there, it seems like there’s always a cadre of old men shooting the shit — for lack of another phrase — at the counter. Its inventory is really a hodgepodge, satisfying the needs of many different types of customers.
And it really excels at filling this niche.
Keith’s Hardware has been around for more than 30 years, as one of the employees told me, and it’s filled aisle-​to-​aisle, wall-​to-​wall, ceiling-​to-​floor. And then some.
I went in recently to buy some paintbrushes and dropcloths, and I chuckled when I saw that next to professional paintbrushes were children’s watercolor paint sets. And squeezed in alongside more serious looking contractor and hardware needs are pink garden flamingos and windmills and a small selection of local themed gifts.
The prices may be a bit more than what you would pay at Wal-​Mart or Amazon, but you’re supporting a local establishment, which has benefit.
And while this place looks diminutive, it has a whole T.A.R.D.I.S. thing going one with it feeling so much larger on the inside.
So don’t let the outside fool you — more than likely, Keith’s has what you need. Your exact item might be smushed in somewhere you’d least expect, but thankfully the staff have always been the epitome of helpful, polite and knowledgable, able to take customers exactly to where their items are located.

Came here on a whim… glad I did. They had everything I needed and it was the best customer service I’ve ever experienced at any hardware store… I’m weirdly excited by how nice the staff was!

I just bought a house and called around to several local places looking for a mower.
Not only did Keith’s have a competitive price on a reel mower, but the lady I spoke with on the phone let me know that I could get a rebate at the register from a city program to improve air quality.
The friendly staff quickly found the model I wanted and brought it out. They offered to put it together for me, but I went ahead and took it home to assemble myself so that I could start mowing sooner.
While I was in the store, I was really impressed with the huge array of things they have in a relatively small space along with how well organized everything appeared to be. In fact, the man who found the mower for me was putting inventory stickers on a couple of old window screens when I walked in.

There are some items we have to go to Keith’s for simply because they aren’t available in the larger box stores. The prices can be a bit higher on some items, but the service and availability of everything we need has kept us coming back to Keith’s for several years now.

This store justifies misusing the word literally because it just literally has everything that could be construed as in the hardware category or even tangentially related to hardware!
I needed a whole mess of random things and my instincts developed while growing up in the suburbs told me to head to the Target/​Walmart/​Lowe’s area for but I’m glad someone recommended Keith’s. A copy of a key, sandbags, a white cover to make a sandbag look aesthetically ok, CFL light bulbs and a plastic stake to stick sign on top of were all found right down the street from me at Keith’s.
The key didn’t end up working but even Lowe’s and two other local hardware stores couldn’t make a copy of this key, so I guess it’s an impossible task. This shop though… this shop had soooo many key templates so I’d rec coming here first as long as you’re not trying to copy a key to a storage unit from CitySpace.

I love this place! So you may not be able to get Everything you need here since it is not a mega mart but you will get down-​home service with either a smile or a gruff face (you know who I’m talkin’ about ;) and he is nice and funny anyway). You can also help yourself to some free popcorn while you are waiting. The only thing they are missing is a store dog to «vaccuum» the floor of the popcorn anyone drops.
