Hong Kong Fast Food

Hong Kong Fast Food is worth a look. The atmosphere is spare but clean. In my opinion, the young woman at the counter was overly brusque, and I did not feel welcomed nor appreciated.
I ordered General Tso’s Chicken, extra spicy. I got the combo, which included chicken, fried rice and an egg roll. The price was very reasonable: under $ 8 including tax.
Food came pretty quickly and was piping hot. Everything was made to order. The food was good. Steamed veggies were al dente, just how I like them.
If the service were friendlier, I would give Hong Kong Fast Food four stars. But because of unfriendly service, I am docking one star.

This was a great find from Unilocal,when we needed something close to the Expo center.
We were a large 40 person group traveling from SF Bay Area, and we needed take out to eat at our hotel. The staff was very friendly and they had our order done on time.
Food was great, better than a lot of the take out I get back home!

This place is great, don’t let the «fast food» part deter you from trying it. Nothing fancy on the inside, but what I love about it is that you can see your food being cooked. The Singapore Noodles are out of this world and hands down the best I have had in Louisville so far.

Finally. I found good Chinese food in Louisville! Everything was fresh and the food was hot. We had the steamed dumplings, egg rolls, general tso’s chicken, hunan beef, fried rice and hot and sour soup. No complaints. Restaurant and bathrooms were clean. Small seating area– looks like more takeout than anything else. Service was prompt.

Great food. Quick service. Carry out here is a regular thing for us. Wonderful lomein and Szechuan Pork or Chicken are favs!

Have eaten here five times. Good food served fast. It is very much ‘no frills’ in terms of service and atmosphere. Not a date destination. Reasonable prices.

Best Generals chicken I’ve had in a long time! Clean. A rating. Egg roll was just right, not greasy. I will certainly be back!

My boyfriend and I were hungry and tired on a Saturday night so we decided to do a little chinese food takeout. Hong Kong is really close to our house so we decided to give it a shot. We had the crab rangoon, shrimp lo mein, General Tso’s with fried rice, and egg rolls. All of it was standard Chinese fare, nothing more nothing less and the prices were right on par with other Chinese food takeout places. All in all, it’s A-​OK!

Ordered take out for my husband and myself. The food was delicious and service was fast. We will be going back, the dinner for two deal is awesome!

Pretty Good Chinese Food!
Portion Size are huge but the price is in the puddling… and its worth it.
Just got take out once for the family here and it was prefect.
There was a line after I called in my family sized order and got in the actually shop.
Wasn’t a very long wait, as the chef’s are pretty fast and I’d say 3 orders ahead of me and I only maybe wait 10 minutes?
I order the General Tso’s Chicken with Fried Rice and my GF had a sea food delight and my kid had something similar to her meal. No complaints and I also got some Lo Mien… which was also great.
No complaints here… will be my go to Chinese Fast Food in the future.

After driving for hours and getting back into town on Christmas evening, the hubs, the kids and I were hungry and tired. Thankfully, Hong Kong Fast Food was open so I didn’t have to cook again. (BTW, they were scheduled to be open until 6 p.m. on Christmas but they stayed open later to accommodate customers). The restaurant was super busy, but it was clean and the staff was very courteous and polite anyway. We got carryout and the food was prepared very quickly.
We stuck with the usually fried rice, egg rolls, sweet & sour chicken and beef with broccoli. All of the dishes were good, and fairly standard for take-​out Chinese (IMHO of course, and I should note that I’m not a huge fan). The prices versus portion sizes were more than fair. My husband (who is the Chinese take-​out fan of the house) said he would definitely eat there again.

We heard it was very good, and I was surprised by the high Unilocal reviews. I ordered the General Tsos with white rice combo, and my wife got the Kung Pao with the default fried rice. My wife didn’t care for the fried rice, but I didn’t think it was too bad. My dish was ok, and it will hold you over if you need a «Chinese» fix (not real Chinese food of course).
I wish I could give it 3.5 stars, but I just can round up to 4.

Great Chinese fast food. Portion size is great for pricing.
Flavoring is good as well. Lunch prices until 3:30.

The food was really good! Got chicken fried rice, happy family meal, a order of chicken wings and two drinks for $ 25.00. Its a friendly little hole in wall chinese restaurant.

I want to be clear — I’m giving this five stars for what it is, a nice, small «hole in the wall» fast food chinese restaurant. It might not look like much when you first walk it, but the staff was friendly and the place was very clean. The kitchen was fully visible — something I always find comforting. The food is very good. The szechuan chicken and fired dumplings were well flavored without being too greasy. I would definitely come back here again.

I am a chinese food snob. This is no frills, dine in or carry out. The best chinese food in Louisville area. I have eaten here for years, and looked for better; it’s just not near. Very clean oil and not super greasy like most chinese fast food in the area. Family operated by nice local people! Order anything anytime and it will only take 10 minutes max.
