I have tried a few different Chinese buffets in Louisville and this has definitely been the best. Now I’m not saying it’s perfect but the only complaint I have regularly is the sushi quality varies quite a bit, I got sushi one day for lunch and they were very busy and the sushi was very bland and tasteless, however, a couple weeks later I was there and they were much less busy and the sushi tasted AWESOME!!! The crab rangoon is the BEST!!! The servers are always on top of keeping drinks filled and the food gets replenished regularly.

Was visiting Louiseville for a week and wanted some nice sushi so went here. EXTREMELYBAD experience. The sushi was stale, tasteless and no variety at all! Food was as if it has been there for ages. I could barely eat anything. The only thing I liked was the soft cone ice cream. Regretted going there.

I went right at dinner time. I went for the sushi but do not come here thinking your going to get good sushi. The beef and chicken dishes were pretty good. If I only had 10 bucks and wanted to eat a lot I would probably go back only if I’m right next door.

Came here last night after my KMEA orchestra performance with my orchestra buddies. The building is clean, it’s decorated very nicely, and the service is better than what you would find at the typical Asian buffet. The waitress was polite and brought napkins and refilled our water often. We felt very welcomed in comparison to a lot of other places we’ve been to. Most of the food was great and fresh. I HAD to knock off one star for the sushi bar. They had a huge selection of sushi, probably 20 different kinds. The downfall was that they didn’t keep the sushi plated on ice so it was room temperature, which is a shame because it was very flavorful. I just can’t eat room temperature sushi and sushi is my number one thing at Asian buffets. The presentation was near enough either, in my opinion. If they iced the sushi bar I would’ve given 5 stars. OH and they have an AMAZING touch screen ice cream machine and it has different flavors like cheesecake, cotton candy, etc. The ice cream bar was really cool and had a bunch of toppings. Lastly, the bathroom was really modern and clean, they just had odd toilet seats. Over all a great buffet, I will be returning.

If you’ve ever had better sushi than Kroger(which is pretty much any sushi), don’t bother coming here if you’re doing it for the sushi. While I knew what to expect as I’ve been to places like this before, I didn’t think the sushi would be that bad. The rice just was not good, and the rolls had little inside them. Since I didn’t see any, I asked the sushi chef if they would have any nigiri(a common type of sushi made of a small clump of rice with a piece of fish on top) since I saw another review with pictures of the buffet with nigiri. He simply replied, «No.» I can’t say much about the more typical Asian buffet foods they have since I wasn’t too interested in them, but they do have plenty to choose from. If you’re interested in sushi, go anywhere else. If you’re interested in a very cheap Asian buffet with very good table service, it may be worth a shot.

Not your average buffet. The price is ridiculously cheap. All you can eat for the price of one sushi roll anywhere else. The service is amazing. .The food is good and fresh… lots of sushi and ngiri options. And. they serve alcohol! 3 stars for the food. upgraded to 4 for the service and Sapporo!

I loved eating here! Finally I have found a good asian buffet! The waitresses were all very nice and the food was all kept hot and was immediately replenished when it was running low or out. The place seemed very well kept aside from the sushi bar which seemed a little dirty but not as bad as others that I have seen. The general sao’s chicken here was also VERY good. I WILL be coming back here.

Ok, so we all know there isn’t REALLY good chinese food in Southern Indiana. So, my husband and I go to Louisville every now and then and started coming back here. I ate here at least 2 – 3 times a week back in 2009&2010 when I was pregnant. Or, I would have hubby get take out. I loved it then, and I still love it now. IMHO, this is the best chinese buffet food you can get in the Kentuckiana area. Every time we go its super fresh, and if something is not on there that we want, we can usually flag someone down and they bring it right over. The eggrolls are what has always had me hooked though and their crab rangoon. I love it.

Had lunch here today. I have visited 2 other times and always thought it was decent. Today everything seemed greasier or dried out. Sushi was plain and uninspiring. The buffet foods were greasy and made me unwilling to want to eat much, I did the grill and was shocked how bad it was salty and could not eat it. Will not be returning after seeing kitchen staff use the restroom and walk out without washing hands.

I’ve seen a few of the negative reviews of the restaurant on this site. I’m completely perplexed. This is a wonderful restaurant and a great boon to the Louisville dining scene. There are a number of things that the restaurant has going for it… 1) the sushi bar. There’s a great variety(last visit count: 14) of sushi rolls. Admittedly not the world’s premier sushi(the rice is cold, but the fish is absolutely fresh), 2) There’s a Mongolian bar, with totally fresh ingredients, cooked to order, piping hot and delicious…3) The food(of which there’s an incredible variety) is replenished on a quick and regular basis… 4) The waitstaff is courteous, friendly and completely professional… 5) All of the food on the buffet is served at the appropriate temperature. The soup is hot, the eggrolls are crispy, and the kimchi is to die for. For the money(a mere pittance), this has got to be one of the go-to places in Louisville. And given the amazing range of restaurants in this relatively small town, that’s saying a lot. Go and enjoy. And DO tip the waitstaff well.

Went in for the Sunday buffet. The food always tasted off or weird, probably because it had been sitting out all day. Very few things were labeled, and the sushi(none of which had any label) tasted like it had been sitting out for days, to the point it was inedible. I don’t think sushi is supposed to be that hard and dry. Service was friendly and unobtrusive, but it can’t make up for the disappointing food. We don’t plan on going here again

No no no!!! Awful food. Plus they advertise snow crab legs but when they run out they refuse to bring more out. My companion wanted crab that why we came and he got none. Typical crappy food.

Lots of choices and everything was fresh. The Sushi bar was really good also and has some sushi I had tried before it was good all the way around.

So, this buffet was lacking in «Chinese» food. There was Chicken and Broccoli, fake crabmeat and zucchini something, and Pepper steak. That was it for Oriental dishes! There was the usual Chicken nugget in General Cho sauce, nuggets in honey sauce, and nuggets in black pepper seasoning. Other Oriental foods included lo mien, rice noodle with not much seasoning, 5 varieties of sushi, all variations on a California style roll, and one sashimi… salmon on rice, which was so old that the salmon was dried out along the edges. There was a LOT of «american» food: bad pizza… cheese with a few pepperonis with a thick chewy crust and tasteless sauce, fried chicken, baked salmon, really bad stuffed crab(my wife spit it out!), a small salad bar, and other choices. We went there on a Saturday at 1pm, and I found many of the selections to be rather old and dried out in appearance. Surprisingly, the baby octopus salad was good, and the«Oriental» foods I tried were not too bad tasting… just lacking in variety… there was a lot more American food. For $ 6.99, it was adequate, but I will continue my quest for a good Oriental buffet in Louisville.

I came here for Saturday lunch. For only $ 6.99($ 6.50 weekday), it was a very adequate Asian buffet experience. The sushi is fresh and made with care, much more delicate than those rolls at Jumbo Buffet. The hot items on the buffet are the standard stuff you’ll find at every other Chinese buffet, nothing exotic. Not sure what other items will be put out for dinner since I was only there for lunch. A-Ok, for your average buffet cravings. Dinners are only $ 10.99. Since I doubt we will ever get a Todai or Sumo, I will keep this place on my list.

The sushi was fresh, the rice was good and the price was great($ 6.50 for weekday lunch). The cooked foods selection was a very standard Chinese/Asian buffet, reasonably large though and tasted fine. Why only 3 stars then? Because nearly every piece of sushi roll was heavily drizzled with that mayo-type sauce. So thick that it covered the fresh taste of the fish and rice and the texture is just plain yucky IMO. The small selection of rolls(plus of course the nigiri sushi) that didn’t have the mayo sauce was quite good, certainly what you’d expect for a mid-range sushi house. If they expanded the sushi selection a bit and quit with the mayo, I’d be a regular. Service was friendly and the table bussing was efficient without being annoying. Water was refilled at the appropriate times. Still, if I was in the area, I would happily return for an inexpensive sushi lunch and just stick to the small selection of traditional rolls and nigiri.

Good place to get full and cure that sushi fix on a budget. Not only does it have a sushi chef making fresh rolls, it have a massive full buffet. There is something for everyone on it. The wait staff was very friendly and the atmosphere seems a little higer scale than an average China buffet. That was a welcome surprise. The sushi was good, and had a nice variety. We we were there for dinner, there was around 15 to 20 different rolls to choose from. My favorite part was the price. Dinner was only 10.00 per person(that’s the price for 1 roll at my favorite sushi place). So is you are in the area check it out. You will be pleasantly surprised.

Starting out with a disclaimer. We went on a Wed night at 8:45 when they close at 10. So I have all intentions to try it again(maybe for a $ 5.99 lunch!) and adjust the rating if need be. Everyone there was friendly and there was a wide selection as a good buffet should be. About 10 sushi rolls and a couple kinds of sashimi. I wasn’t terribly impressed with it, but it was fine. I would have loved to see some salmon or tuna — maybe next time. I liked my egg drop soup and egg roll. The rest of the chinese food tasted okay, just seemed like it had been sitting for a long time. The stuffed mushrooms were super dried out as was the asparagus. I’m not giving up. I love a good buffet — especially one with sushi! Will give it another shot.
