Granite America

Very difficult situation with this company and do hope others don’t encounter this. They are all nice women working there and i still can’t process they did what they did. Below really happened:
I renovate units for income. Timeline is important as is cost. I ordered my granite from Granite America 7 weeks before installation. They were cheaper than most, but more importantly they bid the job as a full package of stone and labor together yielding the sq ft price. I walked out with my order, understanding the price of the job. Left a 50% deposit.
The template was taken 2 weeks before installation and a week before installation they called me to say they can’t do the job.
They gave 3 reasons, all of which made no sense to me. I’ve been renovating for years– nothing jibed. I went down to their company to problem solve with them, still no interest in doing the job. They just left me high and dry at the 25^th hour.
I have since spoken to stone distributors and installers and have learned that they likely had under charged me, and just before the install, learned they were making no $. Instead of honoring their bid, or even confronting me with this realization, they cut me loose to start again from square one. This has been the worse experience I have had in the remodel world.
