I have to agree with fellow Unilocaler, Elizabeth S. This is a solid, honest gym. I’ve been a member for awhile now, but as an avid runner I haven’t been in here in months and I’m so disappointed I haven’t made more of an effort to come in. The gentleman that runs this gym does an amazing job at keeping it clean and keeping the equipment up to date. This definitely isn’t a LAC or planet fitness, but I appreciate that so much. The members are always friendly and it is definitely a neighborhood gym which makes it so much nicer. People here take care of the equipment and care about how each person is doing. It is a ²⁴⁄₇ gym and I’ve never found it too packed to work out. After having to go through months of physical therapy this gym had everything I needed to continue my efforts and get back to running. If you’re a friendly individual that enjoys working out with other friendly and kind individuals, I suggest checking out this place.

A good, honest gym is very hard to come by (see my review of Urban Active…). Fitness on Frankfort is clean, nice, helpful, and friendly. With ²⁴⁄₇ access using your card, a swipe can get you in any time you please. As a female, I’m always a little hesitant entering a place that has no staff at certain hours, but I’ve never had a problem. All of the patrons here are polite, and I feel fairly comfortable going in at anytime.
Clean towels, fairly good magazines, and spotless floors and equipment. Some people gawk at the price ($ 45 a month for 1 year contract) but I think it’s perfect. You truly get your $$$ worth. I like supporting a local business, and If I have an issue, I can actually talk to someone instead of being given the run around, like with chain gyms.
