Build-A-Bear Workshop

First time ever going into a Build A Bear store, was yesterday. I took the little girl I nanny in there so she could build her own. We went on a Thursday around 2pm so of course it was pretty empty in the store… Lucky for us!
Maggie was the employee who helped us the entire time. And to be honest, she is the reason for this 5 star review! Customer service is so important these days, especially when you’re working with children. Maggie was amazing. She was asking the little girl (Bayley) I nanny questions, being personable, told us about her children, helped Bayley pick up everything she wanted. Even let her try on 4 different outfits on her cat she built, when we were only going to purchase one. Maggie didn’t care that it was making a mess or that she’d have to put all of these little clothes back on the hanger. She just cared about making Bayley’s experience the best one. And it made Bayley and I walk out of there both saying how lovely she was.
There was also another employee named Ashley there who was cleaning the entire time we were there. You can tell they cared about doing their jobs. It was refreshing.

While out Christmas shopping I was very surprised to see they only had one register open two days before Christmas! I understand it’s a weekday but a little more pre planning may have helped the long wait to check out.
Otherwise than that, no complaints. It’s a bit smaller than the typical BAB but that’s not to say it’s any less adorable. I love BABs and this store did not disappoint.
The slow checkout is nothing compared to the awesome time someone can have while shopping for their princess of a niece. Or their own children for that matter. …
