My wife and I visited a Bob Evans in Simpsonville, Ky and each ordered a sunrise breakfast which consisted of two eggs; hash browns and two biscuits. When the order arrived the hash browns order was about ½ inch thick and 3 inches in length and width, I made a comment about the small amount of hash browns, on each of our plates and the waitress just said would like to make additional order for hash browns. The cost for four eggs, four biscuits and about six ounces of hash browns was $ 11.98 plus tax and tip. That not much food for amount that it cost.

Simply put, the food was horrendous. Stopped by there for a quick bite before a movie. Ordered eggs over medium with hash browns. Hash browns were hash beige, undercooked, and eggs over medium were hard as a rock. I don’t expect much from them, since it is a chain, but they simply didn’t meet my low expectations.

COOKS unwilling to deviate from norm when it comes to making food for customer. I ask for a dish which was on menu in past. They got rid of it because biscuit bowl was hard as a rock. I suggested they make it with 2 biscuits opened on bottom then rest of ingredients. Been doing this for 4 – 5 years. Now new cooks and wait staff and cooks argued. Whatever happened tonnages getting involved and CUSTOMERSERVICE?

I wasn’t expecting unicorns and fireworks from this place. It was an hour before closing and we had 2 tired kids with us. That said, we had good service and didn’t have to wait on anything even though it was obvious the entire place was itching to shut down for the night. The food was OK. I had the steak and eggs. Apparently Bob Evans prepares eggs differently because to them, over easy means scrambled. The steak was a pretty small portion but nothing to punch anyone in the face over. Our girls really loved their food and ate plenty, if not all. The price was on point and our family of 4 ate for $ 25. This isn’t a place that I go seek out to eat at. However, it was a good pick for us that night.

I’ve never had a problem at this location and my husband and I frequent it at least 2 – 3 times a month. When it’s really busy on Saturdays or Sundays you can expect food to take a bit longer than normal but that’s to be expected. The coffee is always good and I appreciate that they have plenty of healthy options. The interior was recently remodeled and looks great. It’s not unique or special but it is a chain after all. I will continue to come here.

The veggies in my omelette were not cooked and I’m pretty sure i was given a half order of hashbrowns. My wife ordered some pancakes and I think chewing on the sole of my shoe would taste less rubbery. I understand Sundays tend to be busy… But or server disappeared.

Cold eggs and a dirty fork. Service was ok, but could not keep up with our family of 4 drinks. I went in Not expecting much, but we needed a quick bite and this was open. Eat Local! It’s way better.

We don’t have have Bob Evans where I live so I eat at one every time I get a chance. This one was not the best I been in. The food was great but I sat at the counter and the old dishes were never removed just push into a pile. I was there for 40 minutes and the counter was so full of dishes you could only use have the seats and the waitresses didn’t seem to care. I will still go to them every chance I get because the food is so good.

Remember — this is a Chain Restaurant. As far as that goes, it is fine. They are alwas having coupon specials online and through their email. I had a buy one breakfast, get the second free coupon that I used and that really makes it cheap to eat there. The food is fine if a little salty. Our waitress was as nice as could be so no problem there either. And when we left and paid at the door, we were given another coupon for $ 3 off a $ 10 meal. Sounds good to me! If you want CRAZYGREAT breakfast then go to Wild Eggs or Lynn’s Paradise Café but be prepared to pay higher prices for the better quality. Oh last thing, NEVERORDERSCRAMBLED eggs here or any other chain for that matter. they are always over cooked. Just go for the over easy or over medium egg!

Mediocre at best. Quality was below par and service was poor to fair at best. Would not recommend to others.

Sadly, this Bob Evans location has recently, well, sucked. I have taken three groups of people there within the past three years and each time we have left I find myself saying, «Honestly, it’s not usually this bad! Give it another try!» Though I am not going to take my own advice anymore. Overall: — the wait staff is often slow and forgets the most simple requests(like lemon in ice or no meat in your potato soup). — it’s a bad sign when you’ve considered eating the menu pictures rather than the food that came out from the kitchen. The quality is just plain poor. — Lastly, the prices of all the menu items seems to have gone up recently, leaving you with a half-empty belly AND wallet. Lame. Sorry, Bob, I think it’s time we broke up.
