Not sure how this place has a single positive review. I was in town for the NRA expo and due to traffic and congestion In the area I was not willing to wait 2 hours for an über and trying to go downtown. The food, service, and pricing are a joke! I believe enough has been said.

Stayed at the hotel– so convenient. Local beers, spirits and food selections with KY theme. Had a bison burger one night– tasty. Another night the namesake salad– grilled chicken on nice greens with dried cranberries and candied nuts(forget which). Work pal had the pasta dish first night and enjoyed that but was very disappointed in pulled pork tacos. Ate at bar– service attentive there. Did not venture into full restaurant.

Restaurant in a hotel. Considering that it’s ok. But you don’t have a choice, the only place to sit down to eat in the area. Not much else to say.

Enjoy quiet comfortable tasteful atmosphere. Find it great place for lunch and a little paperwork. Staff friendly and ready to please. Food adaquate. soups ate salty… and eggs on breakfast buffet are dry and need sides for taste. .large portion salads… hot brown a must to order… atmosphere pleasant. worth trying. .I continue to visit often

Ordered a bison burger medium cooked. Presented with a distinctly bright pink burger throughout, which might not be a problem if i ordered medium rare — but I did not. Also sorghum disolved bottom bun, reducing it to a wet pancake with a hole in it before manager made it over to talk about the situation. Salad instead of fries — strange bowl with no even sides, so effectively no level surface to place utensils on hardware. Also strange bowl doesn‘t allow for you to effectively cut up the unusaully large unpeeled cucumber slices. While the salad was somewhat attractive, it was not practical for consumption. Management was visibly repremanding staff in front of guests, as a result of conducted some sort of audit. While i was compensated for the burger and ordered some uncooked food instead(tomato capresse skewers — I did not want to eat any«cooked» food when the cooking instructions were clearly not followed, the overall experience was poor. I would not recommend eating here unless you were stuck here, and then stick with food that is not supposed to be heated.

I ordered the Hot Brown. My husband got the Cajun Blue. Both were delicious. The wine list was also great.

Ok so this is a hotel restaurant so they are not as in the groove as busier spot. I do business here so I’m here enough. The service is spotty(depending how busy it is) The menu is solid and KY influenced. Nothing stands out in particular but nothing is bad either. The burger is always a good choice. If you’re staying in the hotel it’s fine but if you’re coming from the outside there are better choices.

Worst service I’ve had in a while. I had a bison burger which was supposed to be fresh meat, but it was definitely frozen. Minimal taste. The fries were the best thing on my plate. It took 25 minutes to get my burger and fries and my buddy’s chicken finger meal(which btw they changed their chicken fingers to something soggy). It wasn’t even busy. We got there at 5p with only a couple other tables

Shrimp and grits recommended by the waitress as the best thing on the menu did not disappoint. I just wish the portion was larger as it it only an appetizer. Good bar for a hotel.

The breakfast buffet looked good, but the eggs and sausage were cold and I notified the waitress. The chef cooked me fresh eggs and sausage. This isn’t the first time that I have been disappointed at this restaurant.

This may not be a typical stop for many Louisvillians as the restaurant is located inside of the crown plaza hotel-(usually a home away from home for those in town for business traveling by air), however, after trying small bites at Taste of Louisville in 2015 I was excited to try out the food! There’s not a lot of gourmet style eateries in that area-so if it was a success, I knew we’d become regulars And if it was a failure, well… it would go on the list with all of the chain restaurants that are surrounding it. Obviously from the 5 star rating it was a success and just as good(if not better) than the taste of Louisville experience! I’ve eaten there twice now(once in December and again in January) as I work near the area– both times I ordered different things and have been impressed on both occasions. I have a 4-year old who has been with me both times as well and was always a welcomed guest. His favorite thing on the menu: the cheesecake(add fresh strawberries-and YUMMMM!!! I don’t know that there’s better cheesecake in Louisville). His dad’s favorite the shrimp and grits which he ordered as a meal on our first visit and an appetizer on our 2nd– Also, this past time we visited we were going to an event afterwards but I forgot to print our tickets, they made me a temporary key for the hotel business center, even though I wasn’t staying there! Wonder service, great food, and EXCELLENT prices!

I need help! The place was clean, the staff were efficient and the atmosphere casual. No complaints. I had the Crown Hot Brown. It was my first time having this concoction and it was… AWESOME! Comfort food Deeelux! I have since had the«traditional/original» Hot Brown but, since I only get to Louisville once a year I want to build their version but I can’t remember the layers(yeah, I’d had a few drinks before hand). As I remember… Thick toast. Shaved turkey. Sliced tomatoes. Some type of sliced cheese? A poached egg? Cheddar cheese sauce(smothered!) Bacon! It was the best plate of food I had all week in Louisville.

Was much better this year. The rude manager doesn’t seem to work here anymore. Friday night it was packed but the service was good. Saturday night, not nearly as crowded, but the service was really slow. Different servers. The Saturday server was a nice lady, but she seemed more interested in socializing than waiting on tables.

Not sure what to say really. Being a restaurant guy allows me to give a lot of sympathy. But really bad

Since we came an hour before they closed, the place was almost empty. The service was good, she was attentive, gave recommendation and didn’t feel like she rushed us at all. I had my all time favorite, shrimp and grits. It had a spike on it but oh — such a comfort food. My friend had a bourbon honey chicken which she didn’t enjoy much because it was too sweet for her. I don’t have a high expectations for hotel restaurants not unless it’s in the center of the city but this place was decent and have a good variety in the menu.

I stay at this hotel quite a bit and have eaten here numerous times for dinner in the bar. Salads are good. Remainder of menu is basically what you’d expect at a hotel. I’d give it 3 stars for dinner. Loses a star for breakfast. I eat simple breakfast, but getting service can be quite the prolonged fire drill.

I speak from two dinners at the Blue Horse last year during Derby week. Friends from out of town made reservations at the restaurant, and I was obligated to join them.(They’re no very adventurous.) Both nights, I had entrée salads, one with grilled chicken, the other with salmon. I have no complaints about the salads as they were very good, and large portions, with no skimping on ingredients. The service on the first night, however, was unimaginably poor. We waited for our meals for an hour, watching other diners who came in after us served their dinners. Finally, I got up from our table and went to find the manager. Dinner was free that night, with his apologies. On the second night, the service was excellent. I have to assume it’s all in the wait staff for the evening.

Disappointing. Service was excruciatingly slow even though there were only a couple other parties in the restaurant. I had the lobster mac ‘n cheese. Very ordinary and certainly not worth the price. There was a decent amount of lobster meat, but it was rubbery and tasteless. And I couldn’t detect any truffle flavor from the truffle oil supposedly used in the dish. I also heard the waitress explaining to a party that came after me that they were out of the asparagus that went with one of the dishes they were ordering, and out of baked potato and something else for another dish. I suppose no less than what you’d expect from a hotel restaurant, I only went because it was about the only place still open and I was really hungry.

Nothing at all to speak of. The coffee is ok, but i had to ask for milk three times and each time for a refill. The buffet looked ok but the French toast was hard and stale while the egg omelet tasted and felt last key rubber, while the cheese inside was hardly inspiring. The fruit was ok, but didn’t look especially fresh. When the waitress walked away grumbling after spilling some coffee I wiped it up with my napkin and the napkin came back filthy. The only time my waiter actually spoke to me was to ask how I would pay. If you’re stuck inside the hotel because of the weather eat here… Otherwise avoid.

Solid meal with a group of colleagues while in Louisville for work. Everyone was happy with the food.
