Atmosphere is good, cute and nice bartender Rebecca. Management blows donkey balls and are out of touch with younger generation.

I admit, I came to Kentucky on business, and actively scouted for places to drink since I was typically not getting out of work until after 12:30am. I didn’t even get a drink here, and this is why… The bartender. Hey, I’m from Boston. I’ve come across my share of surly bartenders who are so pissed off at their provocation that they take it out on whoever is around. It happens, and that can be ok depending on the situation. What I walked into, was something else entirely. I paid my 5 $ cover charge for the band I didn’t know, or want to see. It was 1am, and I was THIRSTY. I had just spent 19 hours in a warehouse fixing computer problems that I really care very little about. I sat at the bar, about 3 feet from the cash register. If anyone has ever been to, seen, or worked at a bar, you know the bartenders walk over to the cash register every 30 seconds or so. I made eye contact, without staring, since I realized the bartender was busy with an order. The order was a few beers, a couple shots. It came out to, and I’ll remember this forever. 22.45 $. The bartender gave Mr. Fairly Drunk Guy some coins, 2 singles, a five, 3 tens, and 1 twenty. Doing the math, that comes out to 80. I didn’t have to do the math, because I saw, with my own two eyes(and I welcome either the bartender, or the management to call me on this) the bartender very clearly count 2 of the tens as twenties, and take the very last twenty that made 100, and stick it in their pocket. Yes. You heard me. I am calling out a bartender, on the internet, for stealing 20 $ from some drunk guy. Now, it may have been a simple misunderstanding, but it wasn’t. Bartender clearly avoided eye contact with Mr. Fairly Drunk Guy while he was sitting there counting his money. Particularly after I confirmed to him what had happened. Bartender had a plausible story of «oh, geez. I must have counted those as twenties». Plausible to drunk people. I was sober. I sat 1.5 feet from the transaction, and I saw very clearly what they did. If you do go here, and I’m assuming by the people around me, that having a good time is pretty easy to do at this establishment, that you count your change, and/or pay with a card. Definitely don’t pay with a hundred dollar bill when you look slightly intoxicated. So, after this display, I stared down the bartender for the next 5 minutes attempting to salvage a beer out of this debacle. I ended up leaving about 5 minutes after that, with no beer, and asking for my 5 $ cover back. To management’s credit, I got my 5 $ back. Still. I’ll never go back, and I suggest everyone who reads this either do the same, or at least make sure the bartenders don’t try to steal your money. Please note that no distinguishing characteristics of the bartender were detailed, because if the management doesn’t know who I’m talking about, then they are just as crooked.

Several of us popped in here on Friday night. Live music, large outdoor patio, corn hole, lots of pool tables, fair drink prices. The crowd was pretty mixed too. I’ll be back next trip.
