Very friendly, helpful and courteous. The times I have taken my bikes here for tuneup or repair, the service has been a fast turn around. More than once over the past two years, I have called numerous bike shops to get a repair estimate(cost and time). This shop has been the least expensive(for general tune-ups) and fastest turn around time. So, I drive a little out of my way to bring my bikes here. I have not been disappointed yet. Gave only 4 stars because of free parking difficulty close to the shop sometimes. But… they are downtown so that is to be expected.

This place is terrible. Bad dismissive customer service. Also bad bike services if you are not going to upgrade to the expensive gear these snobs don’t want you as a customer and it will show in the shotty work that they do. Unless you are centenarian who spent more than a K on your bike don’t go to this place not good for noobs or people just starting out.

It’s so nice to have a good bike shop downtown. I punctured my back tire on the way in to work this morning when the high was 10 degrees. They took care of it quickly and cheaply. I also had a good experience here with a slightly more significant repair issue. I’d broken two axles in two years. The mechanic showed me that someone had previously put the wrong size in there(it was another Louisville bike shop — I’m not naming names). A new axle, spacers, brackets, and I was good as new, and always a fair price. If I can go another year without a broken rear axle, I’ll give Bike Couriers that fifth star. Also, don’t be fooled by the size of the shop. They have a ton of bikes for sale.

The owner, the tall goofy guy who is usually there on Market street is probably the one responsible for the TTY refusal. The owner poses as a bike guru, but he is not actually very knowledgeable about bicycles nor can he repair them. But he will try to play the part. He hires people to do it for him or help him when he can’t come up with an answer. He is very rude to customers, telling them things like they are wasting his time or that he is going to charge them $ 15 if they want help taking their bike ouf of the car. This shop has been the cheapest in the city, but the way he’s been raising prices, it won’t be for long. He also often charges for repairs that aren’t even done. There are just far too many bike shops in the area to support someone who doesn’t know how to treat his customers or his staff. But if you absolutely insist on shopping at Bike Couriers, go down to 4th street and see Russ, best, most knowledgeable service available at this shop.

I tried to call at this shop to ask a question whether if I need an appointment for a tune up. The guy refuses to take my call because I used a Relay Service calls since I am deaf. Relay service: Telecommunications Relay Service, also known as TRS, Relay Service, Video Phone or IP-Relay, or Web-based relay services, is an operator service… an operator replays messages between a deaf person and a hearing person. The gentleman hung up on me twice, saying«I don’t have time for this, bye bye.» before I’d say a word. This place is nothing but full of hatred and ignorance.

Best Bike Guys in Louisville! I arrived in Louisville on the Thursday before Ironman, only to find out my seat rail clamp disintegrated on me. Expo guys and bike transport guys tried to help, but could not make, build or have the time to fix my part. I was even told I would need to rent a bike, because nobody could probably fix or get my part. These guys took the time to create a very solid rail clamp with other bike parts. It never moved, slipped or broke. They may not sell tri-bikes, but they definitely know how to fix them. They saved the day for me. Many thanks. I highly recommend future athletes to check them out if any bike problems arise.

The best place to buy a bike in Louisville, hands down. Thier selection is better than most other shops, Jamis, Bianchi, Marin, Dolan, Breezer, Masi, etc. and old bikes in the basement. What really makes this place great is their mechanics. Russ is awesome. He pumped up my flat for me for free, and then I came back to buy a bike. GOHERE.
