Horrible service. Horrible attitude. If the machine doesn’t work and you have put money in it, they say use another and will not refund your money. There are much better laundromats near this location.

Comparably priced, convenient to old Louisville and probably the cleanest laundromat I’ve ever been in. I hope I soon have a washer and dryer of my own so that I don’t have to return, but if not I’d definitely be back.

You’ve probably had it happen to you. I fed a twenty dollar bill into the change machine for quarters and the machine whirred for a minute or two and then lit up the out of service light. Worse yet, nobody saw me do it. Luckily this story has a happy ending. Tracy, the attendant, got on the phone with the owner and had it all straightened out in minutes. Nobody gave me the fifth degree and everyone was really pleasant about it. Having not known the joy of the level of service under the previous owner, I can’t can’t evaluate it against that. However, I can say that I did have a really good customer service experience with them. As far as the facilities go, this is a basic laundry mat that is more than capable of meeting your needs. They have a number of large washers and dryers that will accommodate comforters or blankets and some big folding tables. To help kill time they have some flat screen televisions and(to me at least) a yet unexplored arcade next door. The one thing this place could really use is a wifi connection for people while they wait. Edit: They do have wifi.

When Aunt Bee’s was Van James 2nd Street Coin Laundry I used to take my laundry there every week for drop off service and loved their service. However, after the ownership changed and it became Aunt Bee’s the service rapidly declined. For example, drop off laundry requires that the laundry be weighed in a tub that is located behind the counter. The old owners would either open up the door and allow me to hand the 25+ pound laundry basket through to them or have me bring it behind the counter to dump it into the tub. The new management requires that the laundry be dumped over the 5+ foot high counter and into the tub. No exceptions no matter how physically difficult this task is for a particular individual. They also told me under no uncertain terms that they no longer check clothes for stains and no longer pre-treat when I asked them to pre-treat a stained shirt. All of that might have even been manageable except they returned multiple items to me with strange dark spots that would not come out even after multiple washes. After having to throw away several shirts and a dress the time saved using their drop off service was no longer worth the money I was losing in ruined clothes. Such a shame because the service at Van James was impeccable and made my life so much easier.
