Who likes getting root canals? Not me. Probably not anyone.(I hope not anyone) Even though getting a root canal didn’t make my bucket list, sometimes you gotta do whats best for your dental health. One month ago I was told a root canal was best for my dental health. Ouch. Not fun, right? Well I wouldn’t call it fun, but getting a root canal done by Dr. Abbott and his team at Advanced Endodontics was definitely not painful, actually it was quite a pleasant experience. Before my procedure I called the office like fifty times, the receptionist was never unkind, or short with me, she was always bubbly and extremely helpful. When I arrived at my appointment, I was promptly taken to the treatment area, warmly informed of my procedure, and before I knew it my mouth was numb, and I was drooling like an idiot, not really. Ok, kind of. Dr. Abbott worked swiftly, I think the whole procedure took 45 minutes(a short time for the particular infected tooth of mine), I was send home with a very well thought out discharge kit(bottled water, soft fruit bar, detailed instructions) and was on my merry way. Assuming my daily flossing and brushing will avert me from Dr. Abbotts office forever, I think I’ll miss the staff there. and part of me hopes you never have to meet them(for your teeth’s sake, you know). The other part of me hope you have to have all your teeth root canal-ed, just so you can meet Dr. Abbott, and see how painless getting a root canal is. Now as Lady Gaga says, show me your teeth.
