Mediocre food but one of the very few options for vegetarian food within a 30-mile radius.

The worst Chicken Parmesan imaginable. Frozen chicken fingers with Prego and overcooked pasta. So disappointing. After attending a wonderful concert at the Louisa Arts Center, our group chose Roma’s for dinner– huge mistake! The sever was very caviliar with her lack of knowledge relative to the wine selection. Our food came out a different times, so two of us mid meal when the second wave came and the third was in the same manner. It made us all uncomfortable, should we dive in or wait… Vito’s is so much better. The food is fresh, service is good, staff is welcoming. Portions and prices are great!!!

Roma’s is an anomaly; it can be a terrific italian restaurant that’ll leave you glowing when your meal is done, or it can be a place with spotty food and a so-so wait staff. I can’t seem to figure them out. When I first came to Louisa in ’04 my family was delighted with the place… almost every meal was perfect! But some times after 2010 we found the food wanting, and we soon stopped going. But after some time off we decided a week ago(March 2016) to take another shot and, to our delight, our meal was delicious. I think your best bets are the pizzas and the salads — especially with their particular take on Ranch dressing: it’s rich and sweet and worth a visit all by itself. Their pizzas have never failed for me or my family… they are always delicious and the dough is delicious and chewy, and the toppings have been great. I especially love that the anchovies are really tasty and plentiful… if you like anchovies(and many don’t) this is a delicious topping that has never gone wrong for me. I’ve always enjoyed the pasta, but my wife — who is of recent Italian heritage — thinks it can be spotty. Her problems were generally with the white sauces, which I don’t order at most Italian places. As for the steaks and chicken and such, we have had a couple of problems there… we rarely order it(as this IS an Italian restaurant), but we’ve had some less than stellar results with the steaks, their degree of done-ness, and the chicken nuggets have seemed microwaved. ALL in all, Roma’s does Italian food best, and their salads and pizzas are terrific. I think they just need to do a more consistent job of it some of the other selections.

Vinnie has returned and are we pleased with that! We had our wedding reception here and the service was top notch and food was served on time and perfect. Also try his Pasta Ala Vinnie — Wow what a meal.

I have been eating here for over 10 years and the meal is always a hit or miss. Today it was a BIG miss and the manager needs to find a new job. I ordered their special Tomato Pesto Pasta. It was a plate of spaghetti, a can of crushed tomatoes, a few cut up green olives and some feta. There was no taste to this meal since they didn’t add any spices. Total cost of ingredients was less than $ 5. Cost of meal was $ 12.95. Our waitress was very apologetic when I told her that the meal was awful. She told me to tell the manager when I paid for my meal. I did and she said OK, proceeded to charge me for the entire meal and never bothered to look at me. I asked her(very politely although I was seething at this point) to please tell Vinny, the owner, that this meal was very bad. She said she would but again wouldn’t look at me. It will be a long time before I go back to Roma’s.

DONOTEATHERE!!! PERIOD. My family and I stopped in our way back to Fredericksburg. We were really hungry and the menu seemed to look pretty good. The waitress was nice and accommodating, but the food was atrocious. My mother ordered the ribeye prepared medium, but what came out was a burnt freezer burned piece of steak. I ordered the chicken parmigiana with a side of Alfredo sauce. I never got the Alfredo sauce and the chicken parmigiana turned out to be fried chicken tenders with marinara and melted cheese. Now I have been a server for the past 8 years and I rarely ever complain even if I don’t enjoy my food. The waitress clearly came up and saw I didn’t touch my dish and after asking me what was wrong and me telling her that it was not edible. She never once offered to have it taken off the bill. Which is fine. I wasn’t looking for a free meal, but we should not have paid for something we didn’t eat; which was ¾ of our meal. I’m all about giving the hole in the wall restaurants a shot. Sometimes it can turn out to be a hidden gem. This place however is not. Save your money and your disappoint for another restaurant.

I ordered a half chicken parm sandwich and some mozzarella sticks. There was no cheese in the sticks and my sandwich consisted of one chicken tender on a sub roll. I will never come back.

I’ve been a regular here for a few years now and can’t stop coming back. I have never been disappointed with a meal. I highly recommend any pizza, especially the Vinnie Gourmet. Lots of good vegetarian options. The salads are made with good crisp salad greens not iceberg. The waitresses are all polite and pleasant to be around, and the owner makes a point of coming out of the kitchen to make sure all his customers are satisfied. They also have a kid zone with games and such, which has been a life saver in the past when I’ve been here with friends that have kids. Also, the door bell previously mentioned has not been been the case for the past few years.

I really used to love Roma’s but in the past two months, my opinion has changed. Once we were left sitting at a table as everyone around us got their food that had arrived after us. When we complained, We were charged for our drinks and sent on our way with not even an apology. I went back for carry out twice since then, The quality of the food has gone way down hill. the veal was over cooked and tough as leather, The spaghetti was watery. Never again…

Great take our pizza. We live in Northern VA and the Pizza up there is challenged, so every time we come to lake anna we order Pizza for take out from Roma. Its a nice tasty crust, lots of toppings and just plain delicious. We just had a great day on the water and texted our friends next door asking if they wanted pizza from Roma and I got a text back, «Hell YA!» every one here loves Roma’s.

I’m not real sure why this place has so many bad reviews. As far as I’m concerned it’s the best place in Louisa to eat. The décor is a little dated, but it’s not so bad that it takes away from the meal itself. I’ve been here a few times over the years and I have never been disappointed. Normally I get a pizza or calzone with a salad and mozzarella sticks, but I’ve tried the pastas also.

Roma’s is exactly the kind of restaurant you expect to find in a town of 1400 people 9 miles from the interstate. It is unapologetically local flavor. The décor is fun and punctuated with photos of years of gathering and events at the restaurant. The lunch buffet was straightforward. Fresh ingredients and several homemade pasta salads. The pizza was good with a thin, chewy crust. All you can eat for about 8 dollars. I had to clear sense that everyone eating there was a regular except for me, yet the service was friendly and everyone clearly enjoyed their meals. There is an arcade area for children. In the unlikely event that life takes you to Louisa, virginia, Roma’s is worth trying.

DH and I were passing through Louisa and found Obrigado’s too full to get something quick to eat. So we opted for Roma instead. We were greeted and seated promptly. However, I could hardly make up my mind on what to order due to the sensory overload of just looking at this place’s décor! It looks like it was a decorated by Andrianna LaCerva on crack. The place is loaded with faux marble columns, urns, statues, etc. all matching the pink leather booth seats. Just about every single corner and surface had something«Roman-y» sitting on it. Hilarious! Roma had a fairly extensive menu, but DH and I decided to keep it simple and order a pizza and two salads. I was pleased upon seeing my salad when it arrived as it was generous in size and had many good things loaded on it. But the blue cheese dressing was very disappointing as it was thin and watery. Not sure if it came out of the bottle that way or if the owner was trying to stretch what was on hand. I would have been better off sticking with an oil and vinegar based dressing. The pizza arrived fairly quickly and was fine and filling. But the reason I am giving this place 1 star instead of 2 is that the front door is rigged with a bell that clangs loudly and continuously when every customer arrives and when every customer leaves. It was like having dinner during a 45 minute fire drill, making a mediocre meal completely intolerable.
