Countryside Deli and Grille

This is such a great local joint — especially for breakfast and the generously baconed BLT. The best part: homemade potato chips for $ 1 — so delicious!

Had a hamburger for lunch from here it was pretty good the bacon was nice and crispy and the burger was very juicy. The French fries were also really good fresh cut and salted nicely. There breakfast use to be really good then the cooks changed and so did the food he didn’t care how the plate went out now I see a new cook I’m going to have to try breakfast again there chip beef is really good.

Has gone downhill, rarely same help causing inconsistency in service and food. Walked out before being served or acknowledged two weeks ago. It’s not clean but food is average… For the price Mrs K’s, Traders, and Bar on the Hill much Better Value and you don’t walk into different servers and cooks every other week… owners are great people buttt

I love this place. It’s a great find. Great atmosphere and homestyle food. I enjoy the easy going, friendly and efficient staff. They have regulars and it’s like being at the diner version of the old TV show Cheers.

My favorite local place. Order from the specials menu! Always good! Breakfast specials are awesome! The apple French toast and blueberry pancakes are wonderful!

Today waste second time I had eaten here. The first time we got breakfast to-​go. They were fast and our food (bagel sandwiches) were great. Today, however, was a different story.
We arrived at 12:05 and were told it would be a small wait for our party of 3. That small wait turned into 25 minutes. There happened to be a man sitting at a high top table who was waiting because he wanted to be sat at a booth! The staff did not as him to move in order to free the table for our party so we waited for 25 minutes for nothing.
We were sat at 12:30, and placed our order immediately (we obviously had ample time to look over the menu while we waited). A kids hot dog, a burger and a meatball sub. Come 12:55, we still did not have our food. It seems that along with the miscalculation on the small wait, our server neglected to tell us that a 12 person carry out order had just been placed before we got sat. The kitchen in this place is TINY, so it makes sense they got behind. What doesn’t make sense is why they decided not to inform us.
Our food can out at 1pm. The meatballs appeared not to be homemade, and my burger was grossly over done and dripping in grease. We also had to refill our own drinks.
I want to love this place. The décor is adorable and it should be a hidden gem. If we didn’t have places to be, maybe I wouldn’t have minded all the wait. But I feel like efficiency and service are not at all this place’s strong point. And after all that wait, to be served over cooked food and what tasted like Subway meatballs, I was severely disappointed.

Good food. Good atmosphere, and a heck of a lot less crowded and expensive than if you make it all the way to the shore to eat. This place reminded me of eating breakfast on the farm. Glad we found it on our way back to DC from Ches. Beach — try it out. As long as you’re not expecting the Palms, i think you won’t be disappointed.

Undiscovered hideaway! Great diner if it should be called that! A diner with a chef? Yes, Chef Dean is the best! His dinner creations belong in a New York restaurant of good quality! I love his «Wild Game» nights. I’ve had the rack of boar, the rabbit in a French sauce of some sort, and the alligator ribsteak – loved them all-​esp the alligator steak. Eat here!

Wow, I must be in the minority here. This place is just ok, nothing special at all. The food is ok. I’ve had both breakfast and lunch here. It’s a decent place to drop in and grab a sandwich but that ‘s about it. I think the staff is fairly unfriendly (unless you’re a regular and they know you). I’ve experienced this every time I’ve been there.

Love the breakfast here! Also, the staff is fun, young and energetic, with everyone chipping in to get you what you need as you need it. All around, a great local diner!

Friendly place. good food. I especially like the rockfish there. Also, they have prime rib on Thursdays and seafood fridays. The only thing that would make it five stars would be beer/​wine.
