We were so impressed with this church. Not only is it simple and beautiful (large, too!), but so welcoming to all who come in here. To have beautiful public restrooms (well kept, with lotions and flowers) in a town that is very tight with their bathrooms is quite unexpected. Their attitude of welcome extends to other faiths, as they host the Jewish congregation as well, and we heard that they offer space at no charge to many not for profits in the area. Very impressive message here.

We are newcomers to the Santa ynez valley and for 3 times, we have tried to attend services based on the info given on their website. We were either too early too late or there was no service at all when got there. Website times state 8am 10am and 5pm may-​sept. But it’s not true. They started at 9 this am and nowhere was is posted. We try calling the church but no one ever answers. One of the volunteers told us «we try really hard but we’re just volunteers.» I understand but, there is a BIG obvious problem when only your regular parishioners no what time to come to church. So it’s only by word of mouth then? The message they send is…“only those who already attend are welcome because THEY have the inside information” Try to attend service at St. Marks in the valley. If you’re lucky you just might be in sync with them. From now on, my husband and I will go to shabot or have church at home. Very sad.

Beautiful and peaceful church that welcomes people of all faiths or none! My friend and I had a really lovely visit, just sitting in the garden drinking ice cold lemon water and chatting to the nice man who looks after the place, who even gave me a bunch of lavender to take home. Wonderful place!
