Great little park on 7 acres of land near the river. Plenty of parking and numerous picnic tables. Dogs welcome, however their poo bag station is always empty. There is a specific loop trail 1.5−2 miles, however, the sign they have posted is backwards. Or, sideways. Something about it is a little screwy; you can find the road way on their sign, but the road is right next to you and the map has it going off in a different direction. I spent some time trying to figure out what the sign was communicating and gave up and just started walking. On our longest hike through there I failed to wear bug spray and regretted it for an entire week. Oh, they got me good. If you are prone to bites, DEFINTELY be prepared during bug season! I had to cut that hike short prematurely because they were so bad.(This was first week of September) Some days many people are eating at the picnic tables, but I’ve never seen more than a few people actually out hiking around. There is plenty of fast food further west down Main St. on either side of the next intersection.
