Yelena delivered my 2^nd baby and was nothing but professional and caring. I loved having our Tuesday visits in her cozy home. Oh yea and she’s extremely knowledgeable too.

I can’t rave enough about how wonderful Yelena is! She successfully delivered my baby at home, naturally, with no complications and my family and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the moment I met Yelena, I knew that she was the right person to help me deliver. I had previously met with several obstetricians and was unhappy with their bedside manner and the prospect of delivering in a hospital. I knew my home was the best place for me to be. Yelena answered all our questions (and we had a lot!) over the course of the 1 hour prenatal visits. Both my husband and felt so informed and taken care of during the whole process, we can’t wait to work with her for our next baby.

We recently gave birth to a baby girl with Yelena by our side as our midwife and our entire 10 months experience with Yelena was amazing. She is warm and caring, has impeccable bedside manners, is extremely dedicated and passionate about natural birth and babies and we could not be happier with our choice. We were concerned about whether her services would be reimbursed but were very impressed with her billing service: they were incredibly efficient and successful at getting our insurance to cover all the costs. Her biller, Margaret, was always very prompt at returning calls and emails, and the entire experience was hassle free. It was also a pleasant surprise to hear we were getting reimbursed. Overall, our experience with Yelena and her billing service were the best one could expect, there was no bureaucracy to deal with and all went very smoothly. We wholeheartedly recommend Yelena Kolodji!

Yelena helped my with my second delivery. When she worked with me I realized that it is essential who your midwife is. Sadly, my midwife for my first dellvery was really not good. I knew this with certainty once I was working with Yelena. She was awesome. She took care of me in a way that lead me to understand not only the physical part of birthing, but also the spiritual part of it. My birth story is one that I wish for others. Because of Yelena it was truly blessed.

Yelena was very nice when I saw her for a check up and her facility was very cozy. The complaint I have is with the way they handle billing insurance and how they treat people. We were being blamed for mistakes Blue Shield was making with our address and with how slow the insurance company was working. Things we had no control over. Yelena and her people were obviously not on top of things. Months went by that we were being harassed by Yelena and her insurance people even though Blue Shield told them that they had mailed a check. After lots of frustration we found out that Blue Shield had put the wrong zip code on the envelop and it was sitting in a post office somewhere. Blue shield issued another check and made the same mistake! They finally sent another check and we received that many months later. All the while we were the ones being blamed for Yelena not receiving her payment from insurance. I had never dealt with this kind of trouble or harassment with my former midwife. She and her partners handled all of the insurance mess. Too bad my former midwife retired and moved away.

Yelena is a wonderful midwife. She delivered my second child at home. It was an all around great experience. I rented the tub from her and was able to give birth in the water. Yelena and her team are all very caring and she is very experienced at what she does. She is very dedicated to homebirth and and doing everything the natural way. She is also an excellent resource to go to for home remedies instead of using medication. If I ever decide to have another child I would definitely go to her again!

Yelena is a fabulous midwife. She delivered my second child at home and it was a fantastic experience. The reason I’m giving only 3 stars is because of her financial assistant who doesn’t really do much to assist. I paid for all my prenatal care and the birth out of pocket expecting to get at least some of it back through insurance. Well, her financial person wouldn’t return my calls, gave excuses, and here it is a year later and I haven’t gotten any money from insurance. Yelena needs to find someone else to take care of her insurance billing because this lady is completely unresponsive.
