Parlour 308

I have been a client of Jo LaMaack’s for many years now. I found her when my colorist went out on maternity leave and never came back. I needed someone new and was terrified! I saw a women with awesome hair color and asked who she went to and she gave me Jo’s name. This happened three more times! I made my appointment then and I’m so happy I did. This is my first Unilocal review. I had my hair colored today and once again I am so pleased I felt compelled to «pay it forward» to someone else who may be looking for a fantastic stylist.

This review is first for Lisa Martinez who has been doing my hair for 10 years. She is a pro when it comes to color and color correction. Always gives a great cut/​trim and does a fantastic job with bangs. I’ve also had both tape and Great Lengths extensions applied by her which she blended perfectly with my own hair. I’m including a photo from my wedding as an example of ombré/​balayage color and extensions by Lisa. My color always looks amazing after I see her, and her sweet bubbly personality makes it a great salon experience.
Second, Chantelle styled my hair for my wedding day along with the bridesmaids and she did a wonderful job!!! If you are looking for someone to style your hair and your bridal party Chantelle is your girl!

Cynthia is the best hairstylist! I have been going to her for many years now. She is an example of a stylist who is truly passionate and really shows in her work. She is patient, honest and professional. She will tell you what looks good and what doesn’t. She will work towards your goal without damaging your hair. My hair has regained its health since I started going to her. What is even more amazing is that she is excellent in all areas of hair– color and cut! I have since referred a few of my friends to her. But if you want to make an appointment with her, I’d recommend calling in advance because her appointments book up fast. Thank you Cynthia for always knowing what I want and making my hair look so good!

Update from my last review. Wow the front desk has come a long way. I’m so happy they hired wonderful front desk girls. I aplogize but I don’t know there names. but the 3 blonde girls in the front desk are friendly, helpful & seem genuinely happy to be working at this salon. I continue to have a great experience with them. It feels good to be welcomed & get some assistance when I have some random questions.

Lisa Martinez is so awesome, she has been doing my hair for over 15 years now. It’s been extremely long, medium length and now a great bob. The color is the best. There really isn’t a better person to do your hair. If you don’t already use her, make an appointment (Parlor 308 in Los Gatos). You will not be disappointed — I can guarantee that! Stacey is the BEST. She always knows exactly what I want just by describing it to her the best I can. I would highly recommend Stacey to anyone checking out this salon! You won’t be disappointed.

It was my first visit to Parlour 308 to see Cynthia who was recommended by my bestie. She was so friendly and took such good care of me especially since it was the first time I’ve colored my hair. Cynthia really took the time to understand my hair type and explained what she was doing every step of the way. I’m so happy with the results and will definitely be back to see her next time.

STACEY IS THE BEST!!! No, seriously. Stacey is amazing. Hands down.
I started coming to Parlour 308 to see Stacey in early 2013. I was engaged to be married in June 2014 and wanted to make sure that my hair was well taken care of so I could get to my desired look in time for the wedding. A friend of mine started seeing Stacey just a few weeks before and recommended her. Now, I grew up with my dad, so my haircuts always came from SuperCuts. And I really didn’t mind, because they were cheap and got the job done. Let’s just say my hair was a MESS when I finally decided to go to a REAL salon.
Stacey understood that I wanted my hair to be healthy and as long as possible in time for my wedding. She was patient with me when I decided to try really short bangs, and she was very helpful in my pre-​wedding hair journey. After my first cut, everyone noticed a difference. EVERYONE. People were complimenting me on the cut all the time. My hair looked great and, over time, felt so much healthier.
After my wedding, I started experimenting with my hair. First we chopped a lot off, then we started coloring it. I am a light to medium brunette and have always wanted to try going blonde. A family member who has been salon-​blonde for a long time recommended I see her stylist to see if I liked him. I went on her recommendation as I had just moved about 40 minutes outside of Los Gatos and knew I might have to find something closer to my new home. When I walked out of his place in Palo Alto, my hair was a mess. I was so upset thinking I had destroyed my hair.
I sent Stacey a text right away asking if she had any free time to fix it. She hooked me up with a same day appointment and made the gross blonde stripes on my head into a beautiful ombré look. I can’t thank her enough for helping me out and forgiving me after I cheated on her with another stylist.
Stacey is fantastic. Her pricing is extremely reasonable. She’s flexible and sweet and CARES about her clients. I don’t care how far away I live — Stacey is stuck with me!

Cynthia is fantastic! I saw her for the first time last week and did not have much idea what to do about my lack-​lustre hair. She knew exactly… color, style and… wow ! So many people have complimented me on my hair and my husband said that my hair had not looked this healthy or cute in years ! I even went back unannounced for a few extra styling tips and she was SO helpful and happy to see me!!! 5 stars for Cynthia.

Cynthia is an amazing hairstylist. She has been my hairstylist for about 8 years. She never fail to make my hair beautiful, whether it’s long or short. Her balayage technique is on point. I get all sort of hair compliments because of her work. She has so much knowledge and advise about hair. Any styles you name, Cyn can make it happen. You definitely won’t be disappointed when you come to Cynthia!

Six years later (three since my previous review) and I’m still loyal to Cynthia, the greatest hair stylist ever! I love how she is so amazing with balayage and ombré. She’s a master at every new technique! I always love how my hair turns out.

Cynthia is a hair magician. She works magic with her shear on my hair. She gave me my first salon hair cut and it looked great for our wedding. She also did the wifey hair and gave her a bohemian look.
For men: Yes, there is a difference between getting your hair cut by a pair of shears versus clipper. Its like drinking craft beer and bud-​light.
For ladies: If you want a new look or try something new, go to Cynthia. She is passionate and loves what she does. You’ll enjoy your time with Cynthia and your new look too.

Moni Sebestyen is hands down the best and the expert for hair extensions! She does amazing and true quality work! Not to mention she also does eye lash extensions for all you glam girls out there. ;-) I absolutely love her work!

The salon is beautiful and the staff is friendly but I come here for CYNTHIA. I’ve been following this talented women around for the past 9 years and have the utmost confidence in her artistry. This review is for my stylist, Cynthia. I’ve been going to Cynthia for about a decade now, and constantly get compliments on my hair. She’s absolutely amazing. She cares about her clients and is professional and passionate about her work. I go to Cynthia every two months, whenever I have special occasions, and she even did my hair for my engagement photos and wedding day. Of course someone this fabulous would get booked up, so try to get on her calendar early.

It was my mistake to go to a different salon, they turned my hair a mixture of brassy orange and black. I was super sad that I had to redye my hair black because I prefer lighter hair. Thankfully, I went back to Parlour 308 and came out with amazing results!
Of course, as usual I made an appointment with the lovely Cynthia (whom is a pro at lifting dark hair). She said although my results would be unpredictable, but it turned out really great! I did a brown balayage and there was no brass whatsoever! I’m very happy with my results, and will probably never ever dye my hair anywhere else again!
If you ever come across Parlour 308, ask for Cynthia! You won’t be disappointed I’ve been coming to her for years and had her dye my hair from blonde to blue and to brown!

I got my hair colored by Sam about a month ago and she did an amazing job! I called the salon last minute to get an appointment and asked the receptionist to book me with anyone who was good at balayage — Sam it was! The experience was the perfect amount of pleasant conversation, relaxation, and speedy service (I hate spending hours getting my hair done). I wanted to wait about a month before I wrote this review since I think that a good color should look good while it’s growing out too, and I’m here to tell you that over month later it still looks good! Kristin Sessler is the best! I have been going here for about a year now and have been really happy with my hair.
Kristin is very flexible with her schedule, and always does a fantastic job.
The salon is very nice inside and everyone is very friendly, cheers to the owner and staff!
