Excellent doctor! We walked in and felt comfortable right away! Everyone was super polite and welcoming. He helped us with our concerns with our 6 month old, gave us recommendations for probiotics, and other nutrients. Will definitely be back!

During my initial consult visit with Dr Hicks, he was going about 100mph with his suggestions for my child. Good suggestions, too. Betsey, who is very cheerful and upbeat, stated that I did not have to take notes because Dr. Hicks would write it all down for me. Sounded good to me cause he was going hella fast. Even when I tried to jot something down, she insisted that I didn’t have to worry because he would be giving me detailed notes. At the end of the visit, I got a list of supplements that Dr. Hicks recommended for my child. When I asked about the more detailed notes that she promised, she looked at my handout and then went in to the doctor and came out and said that was all there was and sorry for any misunderstanding (!). There was no effort to make sure that I got down all his good suggestions about types of foods to eat, what vitamins would be most beneficial, about which veggies were most useful for dumping toxic wastes, about alkaline foods and how he might benefit, increase his DHPP (?), etc. etc. etc. So, the visit was not nearly as fruitful as it could/​should have been and, therefore, sorta expensive. Had I known, I would have recorded our session. I wish they have provided some written suggestions but, overall, these are knowledgeable and caring holistic providers.

Dr. John Hicks has helped me so much. He is so easy to talk to and always keeps my best interest in mind which is so valuable in a doctor. Since I’ve been coming to see him, my allergies are no longer a problem and my acne has disappeared. He and his whole office are just fantastic!

Dr hicks and his wife Betsy are very informative, they are gentle and kind… because of them our son is healthy and thriving. every supplement we have used has played a detrimental role in his mental and physical development. I was so happy to find a holistic dr in the area after being turned down by multiple pediatricians because I did not want to vaccinate. we now travel an hour or so to see them which isn’t very offend since he’s a very healthy boy!

Hooray! Dr. Hicks has moved to the Bay Area! He’s been my kid’s pediatrician since my oldest son was born and I didn’t care if he was in Wisconsin, he was the best! He’s really easy to Skype with. I trusted him not only with my kids health, but my postpartum health, as well. I have three extremely healthy kids now and I credit him and his whole staff at Elementals Living. The office here is a little small, but he has toys for the kids. Either on Skype or at his Los Gatos office, he has always been on time for appointments so he’s never kept me waiting.
