First let me say that I am a Personal Trainer myself(after all we all need one). Rachel is extremely knowledgable, professional, and all around amazing person. She pushes me when I need it and slows me down when I’m going overboard all while making sure your form is correct to prevent injury. She works with all types of people from experienced athletes like myself, to people just starting out. She puts together a personalized a program for you to reach your specific goals. Weight loss, muscle gain, injury recovery, balance training… She has the skills to help reach your health and fitness goals. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trainer who is committed to you and your goals

I met Rachel two years ago when she started working as a trainer at the gym I worked at. Now, I only worked there, I did NOT work out there. This is due to the fact that I’m lazy and really would rather watch a rerun of Friends for the 900th time than do anything remotely athletic. So, back to Rachel, when I met her, I found someone that is a real person who is also a trainer. Not some«Barbie» looking perfect model whose body is impossible to attain, but someone who was human, was ready to admit that she eats sweets and is sometimes lazy too. It made me feel like she was a friend and not a punisher who would get her kicks out of making me do crazy things they call exercises. Well for a girl who doesn’t exercise unless you count lifting my hand to put a cupcake in my mouth, I love to be active with Rachel. She even got me to join a «boot camp» that kicked my butt into shape. I’m now doing sit ups and push ups at home without her reminding me to. If you’ve never found a trainer that you can connect with, someone that doesn’t encourage you, a person that acts as if it’s one of the seven deadly sins to go to Icing on the Cake, then try Rachel. She can make working out fun and will make you enjoy life just because you know her.

Necessary disclosure: I’m a total cheapskate, and hesitate to pay for anything that I feel like I could do myself. Therefore, having a personal trainer is, to put it mildly, anathema to me. However, after having a few workouts with Rachel, I might be forced to admit that it’s worth it. She’s professional, fun, really supportive, and somehow manages to make me feel good about myself every time I work out with her. She prides herself on designing creative workouts, and I don’t think I’ve ever done the exact same thing twice. What’s especially nice is how thoughtful she is in designing exercises – she’ll pick up clues from talking to me about what I might need, and then specific exercises for my needs will show up in my next session. In short, she’s worth the pennies/Benjamins. I’d definitely give her a try.

Hi there, I’m Rachel Press, founder of Feel Good Training. As a traditionally educated personal trainer, it didn’t take long for me to recognize some major flaws in the product commonly delivered by fitness professionals. Many personal trainers take a militant, sometimes even threatening approach to their clients with the promise of extreme results. These trainers, unfortunately, mistake fear for motivation and panic for intensity. Their clients are often left with results they can’t maintain and negative associations with fitness and exercise. Personal training should be a positive experience – one that leaves you feeling good. If a client does not leave my studio feeling better than when he or she arrived, I haven’t done my job. I place a premium on keeping workouts fun, challenging and 100% positive. Feel Good Training is truly fitness for a happy life. Based out of Los Gatos, CA, I serve clients all over the South Bay including Campbell, Palo Alto, Saratoga, San Jose and the greater Bay Area. I have experience working with clients of all fitness levels and have trained men and women ranging from 10 – 85 years of age. I believe fitness should be fun and that a workout that doesn’t make you feel good isn’t working at all. I am committed to keeping you entertained with your workouts while helping you achieve the goals that you deem most important, from weight loss and to sports conditioning. Because I believe personal training should be accessible to everyone, I pride myself on offering a wide range of training options including fitness consultation, private, partner and small group training. I hold degrees from UC Santa Barbara in English and Fitness Instruction and am certified by the American Council on Exercise.
