Donald C Silcox, MD

Dr. Silcox is the absolute best doctor. Not only is he brilliant, he genuinely cares about his patients. I am a fairly young patient and what doctors refer to as a «complicated» case. Every time I see Dr. Silcox, I leave his office telling my mom how much I love this doctor and how I wish I could find other specialists as wonderful a him. He is very experienced and always up-​to-​date on research about my illnesses. He has even been able to diagnose illnesses through lab tests that fall outside the scope of rheumatology (e.g. when he figured out I had C. Difficile… my PCP and GI docs didn’t test for that.) He doesn’t try to treat things that he doesn’t think he can help, but he doesn’t leave you feeling hopeless ever. If he thinks you need to see a different specialist for a specific issue, he has no issue referring you to another expert. Best of all, not only does he try to breakdown his thought process behind your diagnosis, tests, etc. to you, he also communicates all of that information directly with your primary care physician in a visit summary and will speak to any specialists to answer questions they may have as well. I really wish there were more doctors like him and I don’t know where I would be without him.
