Los Banos Motel

SHIT HOLE!!! Flies everywhere, at least couple dozen of them. Bedding doesn’t get washed, smelled like grimey ass! Got eaten up by bed bugs. Greasy walls, floors and furniture and nothing is maintained. Room next door had 7 people living in the room with a couple dogs that barked all night! Office isn’t accessible and is always locked. Customer service is terrible. Health official will be contacted and hope they can clean this place up! Places like this need to be shut down! I wouldn’t recommend this place! Oh before I forget, door jam broken, chair not usable, towel bar/​rack broken, fridge hot, curtain bar bent, paint is terrible, and the bed rolls!

I would strongly urge you to stay elsewhere. Wish i could give this place minus stars! I arrived late/​early am cuz my car broke down. The first room they gave me the door wouldn’t lock. Then once I was in the second room I tried to turn on the TV and it wouldn’t work. By then I was exhausted so I just went to sleep.
In the morning I looked for the ice machine and couldn’t find it. I finally called the office and they said it was in the office. So I went looking for the machine, with no luck. I asked for the ice machine and the lady said «I get it» she comes back with two nasty ice cube trays. OMG!
Then I called for the third time about the TV. She came into the room and moved stuff around, jiggled the cord and said «see it works», then she turned it off. So I turned it Back on and again not working so I called again and she repeated same as the first time but this time she left it on. They were so rude when I complained, and not at all apologetic. As I said before, DON’T DO IT.
The next day I discovered another place not far from there and it was only $ 5 more and they had free breakfast. Never again. Now I know where NOT to stay.

Bed bugs. That’s all I can say. Found two crawling on the sheets in the morning. At least we had our money refunded, but all we can hope for is that washing and drying our clothes is enough so that they don’t follow us home. I don’t care if the Hilton or the Waldorf Astoria had bed bugs. It would immediately become a 1-​star rating. I feel bad about leaving this rating, but it’s just like lice. But worse.
Without the bed bugs, it would be a 2.5-star stay. It’s just a roadside motel, Norman Bates style. Cheap. No frills. Shower was hot at least. If you’re a hunter, it works just fine.
BUT BED BUGS! You’ve been warned!!!
