An event where I can play with Makeup, have expert artists beautify me, AND snack on sweets and sip champagne?!? I’m SO there! This girly event was definitely one of my favorites! LOCATION&PARKING Located on Robertson in Beverly Hills near Cedars-Sinai hospital. 2 Hour street metered parking available on Robertson for $ 2/hour until 8pm. REFRESHMENTS We sipped on chilled pink and white Le Grande Courtage champagne from mini individual champagne bottles or yellow or green lemonade from Lemonade. Desserts served were super cute animal decorated donuts courtesy of Fantastic Donuts and slices of pie and cupcakes from Sugar Pie Honey Buns. PRODUCTS Any kind of make up you’re looking for, you’ll DEFINITELY find it here! From lipsticks and glosses, various eye shadows, powders or foundations, make up brushes, etc! *TIP: I highly recommend the Eye Shadow Palette(Volume 1 or 2) for $ 47 and the Eye Shadow brushes for those who love to blend colors and contour! Added bonus that I loved was that they give a 20% Discount to Cedars-Sinai employees! SERVICE Three different stations: 1.) Lips — Pick a lipstick or lip gloss! 2.) Cheeks — John added such things as foundation, concealer, or blush. 3.) Eyes — Joseph used the eye shadows to teach us ladies how to blend and contour. The make up artists were friendly and helpful. BUT it would have been better and more efficient if there were MORE artists working on Cheeks and Eyes. Waiting in line for a turn took at least over half an hour and it seemed like the artists spent more time on the girls who were in line first. Overall, I had a blast and was thrilled to be leaving with a bag of Make Up Freebies, 2 new Eyeshadow Palettes, and a brand new shade of lipstick! Thanks Katie B. for another great event! Can’t wait ’til the next one! :)

What a fun evening with the beautiful elite ladies. The Make Up For Ever event was full of donuts, champagne, pies, & tons of make up. Here are some of my highlights… –Finally got to try Fantastic Donuts, not only are these donuts SUPER adorable but they’re tasty. –Sugar Pie Honey Buns had amazing pies, I tried the Blueberry pie & fell in love. So good! –There were different makeup stations & you were able to get your lips, face, or eyes done. The line were a bit long but I was able to get my lips done by the lovely Karen. Karen was very informative on how to apply lip liner & how to make it blend to your lipstick. I loved the color she used on my lips. *muah* –I met the lovely Lena H. while in line, it was great chatting it up with her :) Overall, I had a great time at this event. Even though it was packed & the lines were long, I still had a great time & learned so much about make up. I ended up buying a few things for myself(thanks to the 20% discount) Thanks Katie B. for putting together such a fun Ladies Night :) xo, Naomi

This was an amazing Unilocal Elite event, and I just have to say thank you to Katie B. for thinking up this concept: make-up, sales, dessert, champagne. Such a great experience and I honestly had a lot of fun and learned a lot, despite the long drive it took for me to get to LA! MUFE took place inside their pretty small location on South Robertson Blvd. The store is long, but quite narrow, so there isn’t much room to navigate through the aisles to try on products, especially when there are girls waiting in line at the different stations. It was super busy, but the coziness of the event(and champagne) d

Can I just start of by saying THANKYOUKATIE B. for setting up such an amazing event!!! I haven’t attended many Elite events but when I happened to see this on the calendar I hit the RSVP button faster then a one legged man in a kicking contest. I’m a self-proclaimed makeup aficionado. I LOOOOOOOOVE makeup. So much so that I don’t just have makeup to use, I have a collection, which I stare at like one would stare at a museum exhibit. Anyway, this event was like a fantasy play date. For starters Make Up For Ever is an amazing brand with high quality products and I want to thank them too for allowing us to have such a great night of fun. Before, I get too much into the makeup, Le Grand Courtâge was one of the vendors present at the event and they offered your pick of Brut or Rosé Brut( ) mini bottle of bubbly. I had one of both(shhhh don’t tell anyone!) and I like the Rosé Brut better. Quick info, La Grand Courtâge is a small company based in Santa Monica(if I recall correctly). The sparkling wine is made and imported from the Burgundy region of France. The wine can be purchased online or you can find it at your local Cost Plus World Market. For those who don’t drink, Lemonade( ) was also available with a selection of 4 different juices. I tried their cucumber mint, it was very different but the more I drank the more it grew on me. The cucumber gave it that extra refreshing taste which I really enjoyed. Fantastic Donuts( ) was also in the house. They brought the cutest donuts I’ve ever seen. So cute that I felt bad eating them and even worse when I realized how delicious they were. I gotta try some more! Sugar Pie Honey Buns(isn’t that the cutest name!!!)( ) provided us with three different pies. I didn’t want to be a glutton so I only sampled the maple bourbon chocolate pie. I’m not a pie fan but this was darn good. The filling had a nice«custardy» type consistency, but perhaps the best part for me was that it wasn’t overbearingly sweet and I didn’t feel the urge to wash it down with a glass of milk, which is what I get with supper sweet pastries/desserts/pies etc… Georgetown Cupcakes(across the street from Make Up For Ever) also allowed us samples of their strawberry, salted caramel, carrot, vanilla birthday & finally chocolate birthday. OMG! I tried the strawberry & red velvet. I had a serious mouthgasm! Sprinkles ain’t got nothing on Georgetown! Now for the makeup, well what can I say, we had free run of the place and sampled whatever our little hearts desired. They set up four makeup stations where you could get your cheeks, lips, eyes or face done. I was interested in getting a foundation color match and the young man who assisted me(I don’t’ now his name but he had blue/green hair) was such a sweet heart! Anywhooo, I told him what my problems and concerns with foundations were and he quickly when to work. He recommended their Step 1 smoothing primer to minimize the appearance of the craters on my face(aka pores) and he color matched me to their Mat Velvet foundation, which felt very lightweight and non-greasy. I also walked away with their sculpting kit, which he also used on me and I just simply had to have in my life! At the end of the night all the ladies got to take home a clear make-up bag with goodies inside(primer sample, mini lipstick, mini lip pencil, HD powder, and star powder in 940) and coming from a make-up junkie this was a total fix! Seriously who needs drugs when there’s make-up! Plus Makeup For Ever was generous enough to give us all a 20% discount on all our purchases. My only critiques of the night were that the venue was on the smaller side and there were a lot of ladies, it was pretty packed. A smaller crowd would have perhaps worked better. And I was kind of expecting a presentation of sorts introducing us to the brand, a demonstration and then direction of what station was doing what. Regardless, this event was amazing and I loved every minute of it. I also got to meet some of my Unilocal friends for the first time(in person that is) and made some new ones as well(shout out to Kathleen T. & Naomi R.). It was a UnilocalTASTIC night!
