This review is for his son, Dr. Kin Wong. He’s bad, I highly suggest staying away. My father is a medi-cal patient, so because of that he profiles his patients based on insurance and provides treatment accordingly, meaning medi-cal HMO patients are treated horribly. My dad made an appointment to see him and he refused to see him. He sat literally across from the patient room and communicated through his nurse. The only reason he has patients is because his dad, the other doctor in the office and owner of the building, isn’t allowed to take in any more medi-cal patients. So to help his son earn money all of the patients are signed up under him. A lot of patients expect Dr. Kin Wong to provide the same level of service but unfortunately that isn’t the case. He’s clearly the kind of doctor that went into the profession because of the money. He doesn’t care about patient health.

I came here 7 months ago for blood work and had a poor experience with the woman in the front. She was rude and acted like it was such an inconvenience that I was there. Then she was polite to other Asian visitors(I am not Asian) so it appeared discriminatory. Today I am here and the same thing is happening. The woman has an attitude, rolled her eyes, and huffed and puffed at me once I showed up. Just now, she just yelled at an Asian couple and it made me sick how she was treating them. And about 15 minutes ago she snapped at another patient. Apparently she is unkind to everyone. There is one lady Vanessa who is very kind. She takes care of the patients well. She makes the visit enjoyable. Dr. Wong is very direct and efficient. Once you get past the desk lady in the front, everything is fine with the office.

I wish I can give a higher rating… The doctor himself is nice, but the front nurse is very uncouth along with unfriendly service. I know she is intelligent enough to be nice to others especially customer; I just don’t understand why she couldn’t act like it. Honestly, I am Extremely exhausted of going there. Heaven forbid, everything would be better if she knows how to do the job right. She’s just unacceptably rude that I wish I don’t have to step there anymore. Every time i left that place, I left with unhappiness and unsatisfied. I’m not sure if that person is will ever act nice with me for once or it’s gonna hurt her so much to do so. I am just simply EXHAUSTED. Recommended this place to everyone I know? Nope sorry. It’s out of the question.

I have been to Dr. Hing C. Wong ever since I was a kid. He now practices medicine in the more modern office across from his old one, which he moved from a couple of years ago. His office is located in the heart of the Los Angeles Chinatown. He shares the place with his son Dr. Kin Wong. Basically, the motto there is «first come first serve». Of course, emergencies are an exception. You first go to the front desk and tell the nurse your name and birthday. You are then probably issued a number and told to wait. When your name and/or number gets called, you are ushered into a room where the nurse will take your vitals(height, weight, and blood pressure). At this point, you should state the reason for your visit(my reason was getting my annual blood test). The nurse proceeded to draw two small vials. After all this is done, you are ushered into the hall to wait for the doctor, who is the room over. When the time comes, you go in and the doctor(Hing Wong) goes about his normal routines. At this point, you should tell him what you told the nurse. He checks your overall condition, diagnoses you, and orders any shots if necessary. Dr. Wong is pretty nice and loves to make conversation! However, during my most recent visit, I did not see him as I just wanted to get my blood test done. I plan on visiting him next week to see the results of my blood test. After the visit with the doctor, you go back to the front window and pick up your prescription to take to the pharmacy(if issued a prescription). Also, at this point, you should pay your co-payment(if you visited with the doctor. or if you do not have medicare).
