There’s not enough stars in the universe that I would give to Maria if I could. She is an amazing doula, trusting friend, and hermana.
Maria helped me get through some really tough times, most testing of them all, my birth. She was like the moon in the night sky, shedding her light, guiding my way to birth from within me. I had no complications and a 3 hour labor. Without her grounding support I know that I wouldn’t have had such a quick and easy labor. She was a constant reminder that as creator and mother I held the power to birth from within and overcome.
Maria exudes love and I cherish her deeply for all her guidance, education, help and above all her Being.

Maria is a gem to midwifery and the birth world. She’s a grounding and reassuring presence to women. She’s full of old wisdom and traditions all the while always keeping up to date with evidence based birth related research. Her skills as a doula and soon to be midwife are top rate.

Maria was an excellent postpartum doula!!! It was awesome to have someone supportive who understood me culturally – we’re both Hispanic – and emotionally throughout my early postpartum recovery. She also caught on quickly with Orthodox Jewish customs, no easy feat She might be able to read minds, too, as she was wonderful at anticipating my needs! :)
Battling a chronic illness, I knew recovery would be tough but she was there with me from night one. I felt like we really bonded during those late nights. She offers lots of helpful suggestions and was integral with helping me modify things to suit my needs.
Maria ended up staying with us an extra week so we could have more time to practice and take off those training wheels. She was very loving and affectionate with my son. She’s definitely a baby whisperer. She always made sure to remind me to take it easy and not to overdo it after leaving the hospital.

Maria is an excellent young woman of our culture & our birthing ways.
She is a soft yet strong doula & birthing support. She is very understanding, gentle & loving.
I first meet her at a doula birthing conference then we crossed paths as I became pregnant with my 4 son. I knew instinctively she would be my support during my pregnancy & birth. At my birth She took on the roll of midwife assistant & she couldn’t of done a better job at it.
We loved her!
