Winchells Donuts

I periodically work at a nearby clinic and was DESPERATE for a cup of coffee to make it through the after lunch hours. There are limited choices for coffee that is in a quick walkable distance, near my workplace, so I ventured on over to this Winchells Donuts.
It’s been awhile since the last time I went to a Winchells Donuts, so I was quite surprised to see a vast variety of breakfast options: oatmeal, breakfast sandwiches, freshly squeezed juice!
OMG, this Winchells has stepped up its game! I’m impressed by the selection! I thought they only sold donuts and coffee! :) I purchased my 16 oz of yummy caffeine and definitely would stop by again for other items, now that I know they have more of a selection than just donuts!

The half and half or the coffee was putrid, the sandwich was wrong and then the correct sandwich was covered in moustard, inedible. The donuts were hard. Disgusting…

HORRIBLE customer service! I went in to buy some orange juice just as one of the employees was leaving and he didn’t bother helping me nor calling someone to help me. I waited FIVE MINUTES and no one came! They obviously don’t care about their customers just our money.

I’m sure my order would have been correct if the young woman taking it:
WOULD HAVE NOT BEEN ON HER CELL PHONE!
I was overcharged and I was given the wrong change!
I was charged for two donuts, I had ONE, I was charged for 3 coffees’ I had two!
I was shorted 2 dollars in change!
Take your MONEY where the employees are NOT ON A PERSONAL CELL PHONE CALL!
Oh, COUNT YOUR CHANGE!

Coffee is better than most places, down-​part is there are no outlets for your laptops or room for groups. Taste 5 for the breakfast bagel veggie that I get.

Sketchy as a mofo. Even one time avoids this joint. Homeless, panhandlers, crackheads and hookers all kickin it here. Unless you live around here I’d say find a different donut shop.

Okay so like this is the first Winchell’s I come to that is ALL women. The only guy here was the donut cook. Every attendant I have been helped by has been a female. Perty cool. Go Chicas!!! But hey, the donuts all taste the same at every location. Nothing different.

I have pretty high standard for restaurants of any kind and I found this place to be very good. There service was warm and friendly, it was clean and the prices where pretty reasonable. The only loitering I found was a homeless man asking for some change.

Just wanted a donut and some hot chocolate. I need that fix every now and then. This locaton has a lot of people hanging out. To some this is the kick it spot.

First and most important this store does not even deserve one star!!!
I stop by to purchase donuts for my employees. When I was inspecting my purchase to my surprise there was a HUGE HOUSEFLY. I went back inside the store and requested a refund. Refund was given back to me, but the Manager did not feel it was necessary to apologize, for this disgusting incident.
As I was receiving my refund I asked, «I don’t even get an apology for this horrible experience.» She stated things happen the fly probably came from the back. Not what I wanted to hear. Houseflies are one of the worst insects ever; they carry over 100 different kinds of disease causing germs.
I will NEVER visit this place again; please make sure store is clean to avoid any further disgusting incidents with any of your customers. Morning Manager’s needs to be accepting of error and be apologetic for any inconvenience.

The atmosphere can be scary for some ppl if you come in the night. The people hanging outside are a group of ppl playing chess, bingo, and cards while they drink coffee and donuts everyday. Prices are okay, but their croissants are overpriced.
