Winchell’s 86

This winchells donuts shop is open 24hrs good coffee and donuts they have small parking space it depends what time you get here.

The lady on duty when I walked in was very nice and was patient as I took FOREVER to pick out 14 donuts for my dozen. I didn’t know a fritter was not included in the dozen but she was nice enough to include it.
I have yet to try the donuts but they look good.
The parking lot was tiny and smelled funky.

Waited seventeen minutes and ended up leaving without any food… there was literally like 5 plus customers behind me and they all got there donuts and sandwiches and they havent even started making my sandwich. After waiting 17 min (gave them. plenty of time since they were busy) i asked for a refund and left. If youre not hispanic do not visit thus shop. Since you will get shit service.

This place sucks because i received terrible customer service. Meano hispanic women working there. They hate asians at this place, i mean she hates me. Their bagel sandwich sucked.

I’ve never really been a big fan of Winchell’s, but it’s an easy doughnut fix when one doesn’t have cash on hand. Their donuts have always been mediocre at best. For some reason, the donuts seem sub-​par today; they lacked the basic «OOMPH» to reach the «Okay» part of the meter.
I got the special Valentine Heart Doughnut and a sugar-​coated twist.
Valentine Heart: My taste buds may be a little out of whack due to my being sick, but their sugar glaze tasted… off. It’s dumb to say that the sugar coating had an artificial sweetness to it, but it tasted even more artificial than usual. Is that even possible? The dough was nice and airy, but it just didn’t cut it.
Sugar-​Coated Twist: Again, nice and airy texture but the flavor just wasn’t there today.
Coffee: Watered down. I should stop going out for coffee altogether.

In short: Come here if you don’t have cash on you. If you do have cash, opt for a Mom & Pop shop. They have better quality doughnuts.

This is the typical generic donut. Nothing fancy to see here.
The lady working is very nice.
So in conclusion: If you want a generic donut, and a very nice lady to hand it to you and charge you for it. Bam, this spot is for you.

This used to be the main donut place I went to. It was close to me and had great donuts. I haven’t gone in a while and went recently and picked up a chocolate bar. Unluckily it seems they changed their chocolate. Actually even if they hadn’t I don’t think it would still be my favorite donut place but I am a little disappointed. They still have ok donuts but I’ll probably just go to S&K if I feel like chocolate.
