Wes Burgess, MD

Dr. Burgess is a really great psychiatrist. He listens well as a psychiatrist should, but he also has a good sense of recall from things that you have told him before and participates in discussions by asking you key questions rather than just sitting there letting you ramble. I found him to be very kind and pleasant in his manner. I think it is also nice that he has an appointment service setting his appointments for him because they were usually able to get me in speedily depending on the situation. And as someone who has recently phoned about 15 psychiatrists in my new location that I moved to where all they have is a voicemail that you leave your message on and then having only one out of the 15 even return your call, it made me realize how helpful that appointment service really was! The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because one time they scheduled me and it just didn’t connect with him somehow so I sat waiting for him to get there for about 45 minutes and then I was late for work. However, to his credit he did phone me personally to apologize and have me wait there for him.
