Great location, nice people, lots of wonderful vendors. We were informed by Rosie Lee Hooks, Director Watts Towers Art Center the Watts Jazz Festival is the oldest Jazz festival in existence 38 years — older than Playboy. Great fun was had by all. The music was incredible Nedra Wheeler, Kamasi Washington, Dr. Bobby Rodriguez, Munyungo Jackson, Jamael Dean and Tony Austin to name a few

I was at the annual drum and jazz festival over the weekend and had a great time. I met some watts residents and everyone was super nice. The jazz fest happens the last weekend every September. It can get really hot outside so be sure to drink lots of water. Good music and good vibes. And clean restrooms too! You can bring your family, friends, or come by yourself and still have a good time.
