Volunteer Center of San Gabriel Valley

They are a non-​profit company with loads of experience. Some have complained of bare bones location — Glad to know that Grant, Foundation, etc. monies are NOT being spent on fancy headquarters, but on actual non-​profit/​charitable organization partnerships. They are recommended by the National AARP, affiliated with Meals-​On-​Wheels, Showcase Design House and many other respected, reputable organizations.

Came with a friend, she claims it was for support but in all honesty I think I was dragged along because she doesn’t know how to read directions and it’s a sketchy area.
As to why we’re here, as stated in another review, it’s a hole in the wall and a dump… Emphasis on dump.
Aesthetics aside, the staff is fairly nice and informative, though they have no way of knowing what your fees waived will be, they’ll give you plenty of options in a fast and courteous manner. You should be in and out in under half an hour, and frankly that’s more than you want to spend here. There’s plenty of street parking, the freeway is nearby and easily accessible and when compared to the Pasadena office which has expensive parking and long lines, your choice is clear.

They need customer service training. A bit on the rude side

By far the most unprofessional, dirtiest, and unorganized office I have ever been to. For starters it’s a hole in the wall that shares a building with plenty of other poorly ran businesses. Everything is a mess once you walk in. There are things layed out all over the floor. Don’t even bother asking for the supervisor because apparently she’s always «busy“doing NOTHING from what I can recall.
I do not recommend this place what so ever!
