The pupusas are the most amazing thing. Extremely authentic, prices are fair. Location is clean, and they are all very helpful. Great food ! Can’t ask for more.

I guess I was feeling adventurous tonight. I didn’t know what I wanted for dinner so I just started driving around but it was 5:00 pm so traffic was bad everywhere. I was headed to another place to get a burrito but then I saw this place and decided I’d give it a shot. It’s a mom and pop Salvadoran pupusería. The menu had a lot of the traditional El Salvadoran plates but the pupusas seemed a bit pricey starting ay $ 2.15 up to $ 3.25 for a rice pupusa with chicken and cheese. I commented to my friendly and somewhat shy server that the pupusa seemed a bit expensive. It was a non descript building in a mini mall so I guess I was expecting cheaper prices. She said today they had a special where the mixto pupusa was $ 1. I said I’d try that and got two of them. I asked if there were any specials because most of the dinner plates were over $ 10.99 or more. They did have breakfast plates for less but even a sopa de patas or pork feet soup was $ 11.50. Wow. She said they had a special fish plate enveloped by egg coming with rice and refried beans for $ 8.99 so I decided to go with that. It took a few minutes to get my pupusa and I could hear the slapping sound behind the counter so I knew they were being made fresh. Well they were delicious! I topped it with the curtido or cabbage and salsa and enjoyed it a lot. Then the server brought out the other plates and it was a lot of food! The fish was good, it had some bones on the edges so I had to eat carefully but the filet was tasty in the tomato sauce and the mix of the rice and beans all went well together. I also got a bowl of two freshly made tortillas too and I had to bring one home because it was a filling meal. Overall I enjoyed my dinner and I’m glad I stopped in. Who knew this would be an FTR too. Good pupusa, I’ll be back on Tuesdays.

Food is yummy !! Clean place. I order almost every other day. I never had a bad experience. I give them 4 stars only because I wish they had a delivery service. Other then that I totally recommend this place if you want authentic Salvadorian food.

Enjoying a wonderful afternoon and fabulous meal at LosTres Amigos! After my past wonderful experiences here, we specifically requested Moises as our server. He is fabulous! The food and drinks are marvelous and the table-side Guacamole is to die for! This is my must-go-to place every time I visit my friend in Santa Monica!

I had super delicious pupusas. They were made from cheese and spinach I highly recommend this place it’s a little hole in the wall but they serve really good pupusas. The downside is they have only a few parking spots in the front but overall great. I am updating this review to share with you the honesty and integrity this place has for items left behind. I’ve returned almost a week later after back tracking for some very important documents left behind on my first visit. After some frustration, I called right before closing to see if in a log shot id led behind these documents. I spoke to an older gentlemen and he Infact had saved my document and tried to find me. Honesty and good lost and found procedures go a long way in my book. The entire staff should be commended. I’m returning to this place. In fact I’m eating my pupusas as we speak.

I have given this place many opportunities as far as a local Salvadorean restaurant, yet every time I am always disappointed. I paid $ 8 for yucca frita con chicharrón and all I got was yucca and about 3 pieces of meat. To all, try a different place… not worth it.

A group of my colleagues and I were searching for a restaurant during our lunch break while attending some new training for work. None of us could decide on a place to eat and we were using up our time walking down the street in an unfamiliar neighborhood. We decided to give Los Tres Amigos a try because a few of us were hungry for pupusas. Also, there was an «A» rating in the window. I have had pupusas from many different restaurants(and homes), and I will say that these were among the best that I’ve had. I also tried the Pan con Pollo, which was among the best ever too. One colleague decided to try the Salpicon… muy rico. Another tried the Guisquil(Chayote) Relleno. I will try that next time. The others had pupusas or Pollo Asado. Everything was delicious! I will definitely go there again, but when I have more time. Although the food was excellent, the service was slow. We were late to our training and walked in sheepishly…15 mins late with ToGo boxes in tow… lol. Another funny moment was when the waitress made a mistake on my order. I had ordered 2 Panes con pollo and 1 loroco con queso pupusa. What she brought me was 1 pan con pollo and 3 pupusas, but I didn’t mind at all. Two panes would have been too much and I gave one of the pupusas to a colleague. Despite the mix-up, we were all pleased with the food and the friendly atmosphere!

I love Tres Amigos. Ok, sure, the service is slow… but they are so friendly! And for goodness’ sake, it’s a mom and pop place with everyone sitting around watching telenovelas… what are you in such a hurry for? They have delicious pupusas de loroco and their jamaica is the best I’ve had… perfectly tart and not too sweet. For the price, it’s great to be able to sit down in a clean and spacious restaurant and relax while you enjoy your delicious pupusa for under $ 2.

I honestly have to say that the worst thing about this restaurant is the service. They take forever to serve you and many times they even bring you the wrong order… But one great item about this place is their coffee. I would just go to this restaurant for the coffee… ummm it is sooo good!!! But when it comes to food, its alright. I have had better food elsewhere… but the service totally sucks!!!

Sometimes i go to this Salvadorena restaurant when i need a papusa fix topped with lots of cabbage and red sauce. If i get take out papausas they give a large helping of each of these condiments that i can’t finish in one sitting and put in air-tight containers so i can use them when i make my own meals at home. they keep well and the red sauce tastes even better as it ages… As for the papusas here, they are good, not too greasy, and pretty typical of Los Angeles papusas. I can really say too much since i usually just grab and go, but the cafeteria style tables, pictures of El Salvador adorning the walls, and the constance of spanish language television makes this place feel like any mid-day comidas tipicas restuarante in San Marcos, El Salvador that we went to a number of time. It is humble and simple, but what do you want? Dancing animatrons and waterfalls? This isn’t Clifton’s Cafateria after all.
