This by far is the nastiest nengmyeon I’ve ever had. The quality sucks. If you think this is good you must be coming in blazed as a kite bc it’s garbage. PS I came from Korea

Town Noodle is located in the food court at the Koreatown Plaza. They specialize in, you guessed it, NOODLES! I personally am a huge fan of anything noodles+broth, so naturally I gravitated towards here. I tried the mak gook soo, which is a buckwheat noodle soup in a cold broth. It was already flavorful, but I added a little more vinegar and hot mustard to amp it up a bit. I like my cold noodles with a kick. It did take a bit to come out but it’s pretty hustle and bustle here so I was expecting it, especially on a weekend.

If you want to try different type of noodles in ktown. :) This is the place recommend. My favorite is naeng myun especially«spicy cold noodle» or «cold noodle with vegetables»

did i order a wrong item from the menu or simply picked the worst place in this food court? the noodle i ordered was way way overcooked to the point where there’s nothing to chew. what’s really funny is the owner(?) lady’s attitude. no replacement, no apologies. she was saying negligence sometimes happens in the kitchen and that i should understand it and just eat it. …really??? anyway, with most of the food ending up in the trash can, i feel like i just donated $ 10 to a charity…

When you enter the food court in Korea Town Plaza, you’ll see the sign of this food booth just a little bit to the right from the center. This is one of my goto spots in this food court. I usually get the anchovy Kalgooksoo or the soojebi which are very good. This time, I decided to try the Pajangmacha Noodles which is basically Jahnchi noodles with odeng(fish cakes). This tasted exceptional. I may have a new favorite from this place. I’ll have to duplicate my experience for the Pajanmacha noodles before I make it a new favorite. LOL The Kimchi kalgooksoo is one of my friend’s favorites. I agree that it is good and if you like the kimchi flavor in your kalgooksoo, it’s recommended. I just prefer the anchovy broth. BTW, the dduk bok ki and the Laboki or Jjolboki are all 2 stars on my rating scale. If you come in a group, consider ordering to share and order less than the number of people. The portions are huge on the noodles.

Town Noodle is in the cafeteria of Koreatown Plaza. My friends and I like coming here because you get to choose from a variety of different places to eat. But I only come here for their«diet» noodles. It’s a large plate of noodles(I believe acorn) surrounded by lettuce, tomatoes, carrots, cucumbers, and hard boiled eggs. The sauce is what makes it amazing! I don’t know what is in it, but I am on a mission to find out. It’s a perfect balance of sweet with a little kick to it. I’ve often purchased the sauce on its own and used it to dip my veggies or pour on my own salads. The bibim naegmyun here is also really good.

Wow I haven’t been to this food court in years! This place has surprisingly good bi bim neng myun for a food court though. It is simple and not too spicy. I didn’t eat the two slices of thin beef because the beef in neng myun is always a weird tough cut of meat that is super dry. I also didn’t eat the egg because my dining companion asked if she could have it. However I ate every last noodle and the seasoned cucumber strips. The only reason I give it a 4 instead of a 5 is because the broth it came with wasn’t very good or warm. I love the«yook soo» broth that practically every neng myun places gives freely. This place gave me some dissapointed lukewarm clear broth. It’s ok though. I would gladly eat here again the next time I am in the Ktown Plaza food court.

Located in the Koreatown Plaza food court, this is usually the place I’ll grab squash soojehbee to fulfill my simple Korean food nostalgic cravings. My mom never fails to remind me that she could make the food for 1⁄10th the price and how this is one of those ghetto dishes that a grown man shouldn’t be sitting around eating in a food court. Oh well, I eat it anyways: P EDIT: Duke since 1÷24÷13, my mama would be so proud sighh haha

Got the pumpkin flake noodle which had zucchini and potato slices in it. It was okay — the broth wasn’t as deep as the kimchi broth I got next door, but I’m sure their kimchi flake soup would have been comparable. Wouldn’t order this again — would prob go with something spicier. Staff was really nice and the kimchi provided at this stand was the best of the places we got kimchi at today. Once again, took half of it home and was still stuffed hours later.

Chicken noodle soup is yummy!:) it really doesnt need salt that they put on the side for you, so it taste before! the bowl that they give you is huge(i shared it with my mom and their was still some left) just make sure to ask for extra of the spicy paste they give you if you like spicy even if she tries to tell you its spicy. even though its in the loud koreatown food corner, i love this place:)

One of the all-stars in Ktown Plaza’s food Court. The nangmyun is bomb and reasonably priced.

I came here to try the naengmyeon cold noodle on one of my church outings. My friends were explaining to me that this is not the ordinary naengmyeon found in Nakwon, Hodori, or many of the other restaurants. It’s true. I can’t really put into words the difference, but I guess it’s more vinegar-ish? It suits my taste bud really well since I like vinegar flavored food. Even though it’s not one of the best cold noodle I ever had, but out of all the options in Koreatown Plaza food court, I can definitely see myself coming back and try this dish again.

I always get the chewy rice noodle with veggies. If you hold the hard boiled egg, it’s completely vegan. I love the fresh vegetables and spicy sauce. They also give you a small bowl of beef broth on the side and some kimchee and pickled radish. Great value, quick and easy Korean grub. Yum!

At the Koreatown Plaza food court, I ordered bibim naeng myun, spicy very thin cold noodles. It was a generous portion and came with cold radish and finished off with beef broth soup. All three complemented each other. Delicious and seriously, as hungry as I was, I could not finish this dish. Two girlfriends can share this dish. Now, this is not for the faint hearted since not only is it very spicy, but very«choke-worthy.» If you’re not familiar with this dish, you will need your sharp grinders to bite off the noodles. Korean restaurants always cut the noodles twice crosswise. Always ask them to cut it 4 ways or even 6 times. Considering I have braces, I didnt realize this was going to be an issue, so I struggled to bite off these noodles. Not sure if the noodles were too al dente or if it was just me. Anyway, I will definitly come again and try the many other classic noodles this place serves.

Located in the food court of one of those Korean shopping malls in Koreatown. I am definitely no expert on Korean food, so luckily they have pretty pictures to guide you. Note: if the color of the food is red, it in more than likely HOT! I ordered something red. It was hot. I think it had seafood, noodles, rice cakes, and some sort of vegetable sauteed in a spicy red sauce. Once you’ve finished dining, you can wander the mall with the Korean Baba’s and feel like you’ve traveled straight to Seoul, all for under $ 10.
