The employees are super rad! The selection of records is not huge but they have a lot of indie and hip hop. There’s a couch area that allows you and friends chill and listen to music. Also, there are stations to test you records and there’s metered parking. Enjoy and start diggin’

Touch Vinyl is a neighborhood staple and all diggers on the Westside are grateful for its existence! Seb, Ali, and Sean are rad dudes who know music. The vibe here is right and the high reviews of this place are a clear indication of that. I always find gems in here… Big ups Touch!

An oasis of vinyl and good taste! A real find — Touch Vinyl is right down the street from all the great restaurants on Sawtelle, so the best approach is to get your stomach happy, and then enjoy thumbing through all the great records and good stuff. Good vibes throughout. Owner, Seb, is a great guy too!

Great shop. Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff. These guys tend to get new stuff in on a regular basis, so it is always worth it to stop by and check what is in stock. Several listening stations, and a dollar bin, too. They also carry Pro-ject Audio equipment, with competitive prices, so if you are in the market for an entry-level turntable and/or phono pre, it is worth it to stop in and check the equipment this shop has in store. Support your local, independent record store and give Touch Vinyl some business ;)

This place is great. Love the awesome staff. Sebastian(owner) is awesome and they are all so knowledgable — in different ways, too — about music and all of their products. Definitely recommend checking them out!

I stopped in on a Sunday hoping to pick out a present and avoid getting hassled High Fidelity style. Big score on both accounts. The guy in charge is enthusiastic and cool but not overbearing like someone from the Gap. He’s playing fun music and displays the record so you don’t have to ask. There’s also a listening station for you to test any sounds you want. August in LA can be can be a cooker so great call on climate control. Me and my dog(who was totally welcome) could literally hang out here all day. Definitely plan to come back to buy more awesome records or to see some live music

It’s a small store that packs a pretty solid punch. You don’t have to dig for hours looking for something that interests you because it’s all curated. Meaning, every record in the store is worth owning provided you’re into the genre. The shop’s owner knows his stuff across all genres and we stood and talked for a good half-hour about music and the industry and how it’s all changed over the years. A wide selection of stuff and the vibe in the store is such that you feel good supporting it. Can’t say enough good things about this little slice of vinyl heaven.

This place is so awesome! A must see for anyone who truly loves music/vinyls… I stumbled upon this place while looking for a tile store. Sebastian(I believe the owner) is a really great guy, who makes good conversation/interaction. The selection is small, but you can tell that there is truly a thought process behind every record they chose. Ive been here twice and have picked up two REALLYGOOD vinyls. Blacanova(a really good unopened rock vinyl brought back from Spain/great album art) and Mary my Hope(side B rocks my world). They also leave stickers on some records that tell you what the shop thinks, I love that. Thanks guys!!!

This is not a record store… it’s a living room-like community center selling cutting edge vinyl. They REALLY know their stuff here, especially when it comes to hip hop, turntablism, and newer electronica. Vintage stuff is not their specialty, but it doesn’t matter. If you dig vinyl and you are in West LA, go here. Especially if it’s Thursday and they have folks spinning at open table night.

With all honesty, I believe this business deserves all five stars I’m giving it. On my first visit to the store, I was walking up the pathway and a sidewalk sign was begging me to grab some free mixtape cassettes. I LOVE cassettes! Oh the joy! I had a smile on before I even entered the store. Entering the store, it throws you for a second. Four large bean bag chairs lying on a shag carpet! Bright and cheerful atmosphere! I felt like the store not only sold records, but also catered to conversation. You can tell the staff have made the space comfortable for their patrons to shop and become involved in. Speaking of the staff, they’re all great people. Sebastian(the owner) has provided great conversation and has a good eye for what he stocks in the store. Most of it is stuff I have been wanting but a little harder to find. For example, I found a used copy of Kero One’s Windmills of the Soul just lying in the Hip-Hop bin like it was no big deal. Such a fresh cop. I would also like to mention that they have a great mailing list that is constantly giving away tickets to local shows and recommending their current favorite releases. This has led me to winning two sets of tickets to both Moby and Disclosure, both AMAZING shows that I will remember for the rest of my life. I just want to say that this store deserves your business. It’s very rare to find a shop that caters to the people who just want to shop and talk music. There is no attitude here, no big business and no bad vibes. Touch Vinyl is your local spot to catch up on music and pickup a record or two when payday comes. Touch Vinyl loves you, and I love Touch Vinyl.

This is a very charming little place that Robert B dragged me to on a quiet Saturday. The owner, Sebastian was there, and greeted us as we entered his shop. The place is neat, organized, and great for several hours of vinyl touchy feelie time. Sebastian was a great host, knowledgeable about his product and customer base, and very much at home talking about my friend’s rather eclectic taste in music. If you’re a vinyl fiend, this is just the destination for you :)

Seb & the guys are awesome! BYOV at Mom’s was amazing. Can’t wait for them to bring it back at a new venue. Their record selection is topnotch. It definitely filters out the crap. if you’re looking for electronic/hip-hop records hit up Touch. It’s also an awesome place to hang out!

Small, well curated, hip Westside store specializing in new releases and reissues with a nice sprinkling of used and budget vinyl for diggers on a siesta. Bright, comfortable décor, pleasant staff, and turntable stations encourages browsing and listening. Nice place to hang out!

Mixed reviews on Touch. I get they serve a need, and that need is one for hipsters who like dumb fad bands. Frankly, I don’t need Beach House records, because I have taste. Place also has some solid hip hop selections, which is nice. Here is what kills me. No metal. I get that I am the only metal head who lives west of the 405, but would it kill you to stock some jams from bands of the metal variety? I guess I will keep heading out to Vacation Vinyl instead of my local store for my vinyl record needs. That all said, it’s a cool store, Sebastian is a nice kid and loved the recent performance from Fartbarf. One can only assume that much like Arctic Monkeys, Touch Vinyl will get better with age.

As other reviewers mentioned, the inventory is small and very hip hop heavy. Based on that, I’d probably give 2 stars. It’s tough being a record store in LA, but you’ve got to get a bit more stuff. And put prices on the stuff in the ‘discount’ bins! Unless it’s all one price and I missed a sign somewhere… That said, I will add an extra star because the man who was working(I think the owner?) was very nice and helpful. The bins aren’t labeled terribly well, and he gave me a quick run-through of where I should be able to find stuff. Parking is easy on this stretch of Sawtelle if you’re willing to walk a block or two.
