Pretty Good Food And Good Atmosphere. A Great Place To Unwind. Just Remember To Come During Events Or Late Night. During The Daytime They Only Have The Male Waitstaff… The Male Waiters Tend To Ignore Me On Every Consecutive Visit. Which Means Longer Wait Times AND Warm Pitchers :( The Female Waitresses Hustle And Own The Place. They Don’t Mind If You’re Honest And Say You’re In A Rush. Get The Wings And BBQ Ribs.

Tommy’s place is a great venue to hold your school events. When I was serving on student government at USC, we would try to book this venue at least once a semester and get food from Traditions which is right next door. What makes this venue so great you may ask? Well, the area is very open which is great for mingling with others. There is a stage that is perfectly set up for performances and karaōke nights. The little round tables are perfect for setting up appetizers so everyone can just grab a few bites while talking with others. Also, from both times that I was in charge of booking the venue and taking care of the menu orders, I must say that their service is just really superb! I’ve literally called/emailed them 1 to 2 days before a big event and they were always accommodating. I’ve never gotten the«oh well you should have called earlier» speech from them and they were always willing to work within our organization’s budget to give us the best event that we could have. The food that I have previously ordered, which is pretty much everything on the appetizer menu, has been great so far. I really have no complaints for this place.

It’s a good performance venue but relatively few people are aware of its existence. If you’re coming here for drinks and dancing then you will be disappointed as the dance floor remains empty during even the most lively songs. If you’re here to see a school performance or a particular band because you want to relax then it should be a good night.

This is an amazing place to perform and watch groups perform! Located in the middle of USC’s campus in the basement of the Tutor Campus Center, Tommy’s Place sits adjacent to the campus bar: Traditions. Tommy’s Place Productions is constantly holding shows featuring local talent, and what’s really cool is that they record you on ProTools HD and give you the tracks if you bring a hard drive. All the techs here are helpful and knowledgable. Check it out!

Came here once and am currently thinking of an excuse to go back. Who can beat LIVEMUSIC! Entry is free, and its an awesome place to do random stuff and listen to music. Good for studying, too, if you dont like the quiet. :)

Tommy’s Place is the performance venue that opened up in the Fall of 2010 with the brand new Ronald Tutor Campus Center at USC. It is located on the basement level, directly adjacent to Traditions Bar & Grill. The place has much better acoustics than Ground Zero, not to mention a completely better sound system. The lighting in the venue is also top notch. Bottom line, it’s a pretty sweet venue and is definitely comparable to the best small performance spaces in Los Angeles. There are tables, couches, and pool tables that are shared with Traddies, allowing you to relax and hang with friends while enjoying some live music. You can see their performance and event calendar here:
