My friends and I accidentally came here(we were headed to the salad place next door) last Friday. It was SO delish that I went back on Tuesday and intend to go back again today. Yup… it’s THAT good. So the first day, we all got the pumpkin crostone and they let us try the roasted veggies. O — M — G! Both were fabulous and full of flavor! I was super duper stuffed but nothing felt overly heavy. On Tuesday, I went in hoping to try the beet ravioli but they were offering a mushroom ravioli instead. If you like mushrooms(and I do), you won’t be disappointed. The portion size was perfect for lunch. The only guy I recognized from my first trip(maybe the manager?) was very attentive and offered to let us try the cheesecake since I was quite bummed they didn’t have the cannoli. REALLY good cheesecake! It felt light and whatever nut they put in the crust makes it special. Great lunch place! I can’t wait until they open up the patio! UPDATE: Today I had the pork sandwich! I ate every last bite even though the thing looked rather large. It was freakin yummy. I have no idea how they make their broccolini schmear but I want to slather that on everything I eat from now on. Also, the agua fresca I had today was yellow in color with ginger. Loved it! Can’t wait to go back again!

Went here for lunch during its soft opening and was very happy. Everyone there is very friendly. I had the Baby Jake sandwich that perfectly hit the spot. I look forward to trying out their other sandwich, salad and pasta options. The owner came up to us and asked for any criticisms we might have and took suggestions we made to heart. They are in the process of securing their liquor license which will consist of beer and wine that I’m looking forward to. All in all, a great new lunch spot downtown.

Italian Style Deli in DTLA Yeah it’s not the first, but it definitely packs a punch. Christian Page launched today as a two week pop up restaurant doing just a soft opening from 11am to 3pm on Monday-Friday for the next two weeks. The menu offers a range of italian sandwiches, pastas, salads and a soup along with coffee from Verve. I ordered the Philly Pork along with the Bogie and both sandwiches blew me out of the water. The bread alone is enough going there to try. The Philly Pork came with some sort of vinegar pepper that will get you addicted once they start to bottle it! The Bogie came with their in-house giardiniera that makes your mouth drool. Great ingredients and great service makes for a stellar restaurant. Will be back soon for the Lamb Ragu!
