Okay let’s begin with the fact that parking is easy and FREE! That is a huge bonus in Hollywood/Los Angeles. The theatre is a quaint, seats about 100, and is in a basement. As you enter the theater, the actors seat you and engage with the audience. Beware if you sit in the front row, your legs need to be tucked in, as the actors are constantly moving throughout. It’s pretty awesome to have them so up close. The play itself is an interactive delight. In the 2nd half the audience gets to do some voting as to how the incomplete story of Charles Dickens should end. If your a fan of Gene Wilder and Young Frankenstein, this is your kind of show. If you speak the language of sarcasm like the narrator Peter Vogt, this is the show for you. The show at times is silly nonsense as they go off script, but that is okay, because they take you with them. Every thespian on stage played their role excellently and were a delight to watch. I admire how how the actors are so deep in their role, that they can be singing their hearts out, a few feet from the audience, staring straight at them, and stay on task. I was not disappointed and hope to be back soon. Thank you for a fabulous afternoon.

Brilliant! Brilliant! Brilliant! This show – this amazingly entertaining, thoughtfully imagined, and encouragingly interactive musical – invites you upon a whimsical and colorful journey, one that you cannot help but follow. Since this final novel of Dickens’ was unfortunately left unfinished, it has been the readers’ delight – or, perhaps(in a positive sense), burden – to discover on their own the ending upon which Dickens may or may have not intended. The true«mystery» we’ll never know. However, this clever twist(in my estimation, anyway) of inviting the audience to «vote» upon its inclinations toward Edwin Drood’s disappearance not only requires you to gather evidence throughout the performance, but your«vote,» once tallied, redirects the cast toward a multitude of possible outcomes. The play’s end rests entirely upon the shoulders of the audience. From evening to evening, from performance to performance, the play veers. Seeing it once – and this is where the brilliance of the production’s vision comes into play – is practically inconceivable. You’ll WANT to see it again… and again… and again… Further revelations are at hand! I loved it. The cast brings to life the novel’s characters with such charm, detail, and believability that(even from the waiting area aside the box office and snack bar) you’ll find yourself drawn in. This is one show that should not be missed. I have always been thankful to be included when it comes to complimentary theatre performances provided by Unilocal – live theatre is something I’ve continued to enjoy – but this performance is by far my favorite. By far! And I will definitely be making another appearance. Bravo! =]
