This place sucks… You can always hear the manager shouting all the time… The food sucks too. The amount of serving they give is less than you are paying… Some employees need to learn customer service… I’d rather go to other food places on campus…

Compared to the other places on campus, not much else compares. They have a lot of variety and after all the different times I’ve been here even i haven’t tried it all. Management keeps a very good eye on what goes on. If cash register gets too backed up then they send more people ASAP. Same goes for any lines for food. My main go-to’s are the pizza, pasta, and asian corners. The Chinese food is priced relatively the same as the Panda Express by the bookstore but its so much closer. Pasta is also cooked right in front of you and you can customize it exactly how you want, and even cut back on veggies or meat if youre really strapped for cash. Also the dinner rolls are amazing! But their real gem is the pizza. They have a sick combo deal of two slices of any choice with a soft drink. The pizza has exactly the kind of fluff you want from pizza.

Incredibly overpriced and ridiculously mediocre.

Hey Matadors! So, I had the pasta special at The Marketplace yesterday and it was delicious! The pasta sauce is rich and tangy… not sweet, the salad was nice but could have been a bit larger(i am a veggie lover), the fresh baked roll was still hot from the oven and the fresh parsley sprinkled on top was a nice finishing touch! This meal is priced at $ 4.69…and you will be more than satisfied! The Marketplace is a great food location on campus and can get packed during lunch time.(There is a reason for that :)) Overall, if you want a healthy meal that’s affordable, try the pasta special at the Pizzazz station at The Marketplace!

SOEXPENSIVE! colleges are not lenient on their prices at all! seriously a single fiber one bar is $ 1.50! at wamart you can get a whole box for $ 2.00 when it isnt even on sale! and i never trust the sushi, or the pastries/sandwiches etc late in the day who knows how long they have been there or who has touchd them!

The food is just okay. I personally enjoy the beef broccoli bowls, the pizza, sandwiches. and the wide assortment of chips. I don’t go often since I’m usually on the other side of campus. 3 stars

The food is actually pretty good in this cafeteria-type restaurant in Sierra Center. The prices are actually pretty good, too. I’ve had the tuna sandwich from the sandwich station, which is always fresh and delicious(and served with a pickle)! Sandwiches are usually around $ 7. I also get the teriyaki bowls. I used to get it just how they serve it, but because I’m more diet-conscious now, I make modifications. I had the salmon bowl with veggies instead of white or brown rice, and with no sauce. I was surprised how good it tasted, and that’s actually a really healthy meal! The amount of food they give you is remarkable, too! This counter can make me a delicious, convenient, healthy meal for under $ 7! They have so many choices for food, drinks, and snacks — you’re bound to find something you like!

LOL. I actually got pretty good food at the Sierra Center when I went to CSUN. They had cheap tofu salads at the Sushi place, and the Italian wasn’t bed either(didn’t have pizza though). If you tend to eat healthy(I did when I was at CSUN), you will have a variety of choices here. I am at CSULA for my MS now, and let me just tell you, it makes Sierra Center look like Whole Foods.

ok, I have given the Marketplace on campus several tries so far, each time had me rushing to the restroom and reaching for the nearest bottle of tums. Seriously, with each item of food sold from their counters, they should give a complementary bottle of pepto bismol. I have had the orange chicken(very rubbery) and chow mein(which honestly tastes like the smell of feet), REALLY overpriced sushi which tasted like i shouldn’t even have paid HALF of what i did, and the GREASIEST pizza i have EVER consumed! Seriously, i would rather go hungry than eat here again. The pre-packaged stuff looks ok, i’ve never tried anything pre-packaged but I’d assume they might be a safer bet.
