Our table had three People’s Burgers and all of them were dry/burnt and the buns were stale. Had a side of chilli cheese fries… chilli was very loose and watery. I had a lot of hopes for this place coming for the first time, but it’s safe to say I won’t be returning.

I live around the corner from this spot so it seems like a logical choice. Recently the service has not been very good and they changed the menu and took off some items I really enjoyed. Last time I went I waited 20 minutes and no one served us. We also wanted to get breakfast and they do not serve past 11am on weekdays. Seems rather odd for a diner. Breakfast all day is something the customers expect. I have opted to stop going back to this restaurant.

Came for breakfast on a Saturday with a Groupon. The best thing about the place was the waitress, who was friendly, helpful, the only waitress working and still absolutely competent. Still, that doesn’t mean the food wasn’t really good. I got breakfast tacos and I was all like«them’s big tacos». The potatoes were really nice. My boyfriend(ok, whatever, I don’t have a boyfriend, but I was eating with a boy, so let’s pretend he’s deeply in love with me) had the sliders, one of each, and he was pretty into the chicken. A little too into the chicken. He may have gone back to get the chicken’s number. This place is great and I’ll be back with or without a boyfriend.

Wow! I just had very unique experience. It was really cool. A round on the house, directly from the Owner. Although, I’m not from the neighborhood, this will be my new«neighborhood spot». Food was amazing and the ambiance was super relaxing, entailing a cool crowd and that chill Hollywood feel Staff were very attentive! Glad I chose to spend my Saturday afternoon here

Came here for lunch with a groupon and was looking forward to trying this place, because of the awesome Unilocal reviews! It was pretty easy to find street parking on a Sat around noon. I liked the vibe of the place, it was very laid back. Service was a bit slow, and our server confused my order but she fixed it and kept checking on us, and even gave us to go cups for our iced tea-which was super great cause we were about to head to SB so it was nice to sip on the iced tea on the ride. Food was mediocre. I had the salmon burger, which was very dry. It had chunks of salmon mixed with bread crumbs and it was falling apart so it was a little difficult to eat. The rosemary fries were really good! BF got the steak salad, meat was well seasoned but kind of dry and overall, it was not memorable. I don’t see us coming back here but it was good to check out, and an especially good deal with a groupon.

I eat here probably once a week. I’m in love with their fried pickles with really good buttermilk ranch and their chicken chili is sooo good. It’s my go to for comfort food. However the last time I ordered pickup from here, my usual(fried pickles and chicken chili) both items said UPDATED on them. Wasn’t quite sure what that meant to I placed the order and went to go pick it up. When I got back and started eating the pickles they didn’t taste right, it tasted like a combination of cinnamon and cumin in the fried batter which I really didn’t like and isn’t the usual flavor. I ended up just pitching the pickles because if I eat fried food it better be worth the calories. I then started to eat my chili and it has no taste. Or to be more specific it was a strange burnt taste to it even though it’s soup but no flavor at all! Which is weird. It is normally delicious with a slight spicy-ness to it and was my favorite item. So needless to say I’m pretty sad. I can’t tell if this was just a bad order or if because it said updated items they got a new chef or something but it’s not good and I’m afraid to order my «usual» again if this is the new recipes for it. The waiters here are really nice and I know they recognize me each time I go to pick up my order since I go there so often so I’m bummed that my go to order perhaps isn’t going to be good anymore. Before now I would have definitely given this place a five star review. Of course other items they have are really good too but those two items were my personal favorite.

I went to The Hollywood Corner in January 2015 for brunch with two friend. We definitely took advantage of the bottomless mimosas and I also took the Italian Pizza. The pizza was pretty good, and the bottomless mimosas as well, but it is easy to find cheaper bottomless mimosas places around Hollywood that are just as good. The restaurant was full when we arrived(It was about 11am) but we didn’t have to wait too long to be seated. The service was decently fast and nice. The restaurant does not offer parking so I would definitely recommend a taxi or Über, particularly if you plan on enjoying their bottomless mimosas. The main issue with this place was the noise, which made it hard to have a conversation. Unfortunately, this is often the way it is if you go to brunch in many places. Overall, my experience with The Hollywood Corner was positive and I would recommend it even if there are better deals out there. Feel free to message me for any additional details that you may need!

I have been here many times and the food the servers and experience has always been great! Today however I came in around noonish to find out they only serve breakfast before 11 during the weekdays ?!? So I opted to order the pesto turkey sandwich. The server comes back to tell me the kitchen has no turkey ??? So then I opted to have the tuna melt. We’ll see how this goes but I highly suggest they get the menu adjusted and have the product to give to their guests going forward because not having menu items is well… Counter productive and LAME!!! uPdate : I came back a few days later before 11 had a great breakfast service great as always . I want to just mention how classy and appreciative I am at the owner Jose took this review and actually messages me about it. This man really cares about his restaurant and it is very easy to see the domino effect of great costumer service trickle Down to his staff . Ps still need to extend breakfast to 1 Thank you so very much guys !

What a big disappointment! We have always loved this place, but everything from the service to the food was terrible today. It took over 45 minutes to get our food at 7:30pm on a Monday night… seriously? The veggie burger was partially missing when it finally came out. It had extra stuff on it that I’ve never seen. The bun was not just stale, but hard — so totally obvious that they knew. The goat cheese was unusually dry. The chicken sandwich was HALF the amount of chicken… each half of the sandwich had a sliver of chicken on it, leaving the apples and bacon alone for the rest of the sandwich. We’ve ordered this sandwich on EVERY visit, so seeing half of a half-chicken breast was really aggravating. Over $ 12(was it $ 13?) for about 2 oz. of chicken on a chicken sandwich was a rip-off. After 40 minutes, we asked where the food was(another couple who had come in a half our after us received their order) — NO apology for the wait. We asked for a refill on the iced tea. The server realized 10 minutes later that he never brought the glass back. We really love this place… usually go for lunch. We’ve been in on a Monday night and had excellent service(can’t remember the girl’s name). Tonight was really disappointing. Really — I’m the most aggravated with chincing us on the chicken. If you’re gonna charge that much, don’t try to pass off ¼ of a chicken breast. We’ll have to think about whether to return at this point.

I was in the area and needed something for dinner. I chose this place considering there was no wait and wasn’t so busy on a Thursday evening. I ordered the Mediterranean grilled chicken, which comes with tabouleh, hummus and pita. The chicken itself was decent. The pita was a bit cold. That tells me they didn’t make it there. However, a good thing about that dish is if you order it, you can ask for more bread with no charge(although not the best quality). My server was very polite and helpful. Despite the food wasn’t magnificent, it’s a decent place if you’re in town. Acceptable pricing.

Love this place! They have great deals and specials throughout the week and a good brunch! There’s a nice casual atmosphere with good food. Our usual waitress, Nadia, is great– whether its dinner or brunch, she’s always in such a great mood which is always nice to have! She always makes sure we have everything we need even as we’re getting ready to leave :) Some favorites: chili, harvest burger, chicken marsala, steak salad, latin omelet, eggs benedict

Great brunch spot! Lots of light with both table and booth seating. Bottomless mimosas on the weekends are a great way to waste a day… The big boy omlete is great for breakfast, and the pulled pork sandwich for lunch. The people who work there have good vibes too

Came here for brunch with my gf and ordered the Big Boy Omelet with potatoes and sourdough bread. El Omelet had bacon in every bite which is a big deal for me… but the potatoes were a bit over cooked and became mush so I barely ate any of it… but the fries I stole from my gf were on point! I know it’s silly, but I REALLY liked the fact that the butter I used for my toast was NOT cold and was melted enough to spread into my toast without having to flatten the bread to nothingness. A+!!

Neighborhood local joint, without the Hollywood feel. The personal touch, friendliness of the servers and the hometown feel brings a sense of that neighborhood joint in a big city. I ordered the eggs Benedict and a Arnold Palmer. I thought the eggs were way too soggy and I prefer my English muffin toasty. The ambiance here and the prices are super reasonable! Will be back next time.

Two words: Bottomless Mimosas. Need I say more? ;) We stopped by this place for brunch a couple of weeks ago, not really knowing what to expect, but really hoping my fellow Unilocalers got it right – and they did. Thanks guys! :) I had the B.Y.O.B breakfast plate with the almond French toast and it was so good! Very yummy. My friend really liked the breakfast plate that she got too but I don’t quite remember what it was. What I do remember are the bottomless mimosas that kept coming our way and that were oh so very yummy! ;) The one thing that set this place apart for us though was the stellar service we received – it was absolutely superb! Everyone, and I mean every single staff member that we interacted with was incredible. They were friendly, efficient, and just lovely. Very refreshing. Will definitely be going back! :)

Cute little place. I ordered the breakfast burrito and it was just okay. Breakfast took a really long time(but our server let us know before hand that the wait would be about 25 – 30 minutes to get our food) unfortunately it took a little over an hour, but our server was very kind and discounted our bill at the end. My meal was mediocre but the service was fantastic.

How can you miss this place going south on Highland passing Sunset… It’s on the corner! The inside is just as welcoming as the outside and the waiters know how to treat customers. It may get a little crowded during the day but that’s okay because the noise level is moderate. I enjoy the outside patio because it blocks the sunlight and you’re still able to see the street traffic. Don’t worry, your waiter won’t forget about you. Side note: The owner of the corner also owns the lounge next door, hence the name ‘Next Door Lounge’. I’ve heard great things about it. If it’s the same service, with a 1920’s speakeasy feel, then I can’t wait to try it out!

The Service: WONDERFUL, love our server, super sweet & attentive. Service is quick. Good customer service! The Food: Almond French Toast — French toast dipped in the fresh egg battered rolled in toasted almonds & topped with powder sugar and fresh strawberry. HUGE pieces of toast!!! Totally worth the money. Big Boy Omelet — Pork sausage, bacon, ham, peppers, roasted tomato, onion & pepper jack cheese and topped with fresh sliced avocado. With toast & potato on the side. Lot of ingredients in this omelet… no wonder they called it «Big Boy Omelet»!! The Parking: Street metered parking

Came here on a Sunday afternoon for a quick lunch… We were somewhat in a hurry, but the waiter helped us out right away, they brought our food out quickly, and they also kept checking up on us so we got the check quickly. We were in and out of there in less than an hour. It wasn’t as busy as I thought it would be for a Sunday. Their food selection is great and very affordable, they also serve breakfast til 2pm everyday. They sell beer and alcohol(always a plus) and they have an outdoor seating area. I’ll be sure to check out the breakfast next time, it sounded amazing!
