The Garland Cafe

So coming back to the garland building for work I was stoked to see there’s a sit down café in the building. I only have 30 min lunches so I would usually have to scarf down my lunch on my work desk when I got back from walking to various restaurants.
I came here for breakfast, had an egg white omelet with cheese and veggies. I was pretty satisfied with this. all the ingredients seemed fresh and prepared that morning.
lunch however, was a different story. I ordered a cheese burger and the cook busts out a frozen patty from the freezer. It wasnt one of those «plump and looks seasoned» it was one of those bare, get at costco in bulk kind. The kind that ends up having no taste and is just a filler for the condiments (isn’t it supposed to be the other way around?)
my curiosity was sated, and I dont think I will be eating here again unless I want a snack muffin or something. The food truck outside is better, for around the same cost I couldve gotten a tommy’s style burger with fries and support a cool guy.

Its been closed for a while, and now its back. The food hasn’t improved, and I have to be pretty desperate to eat there n spend my money, considering there are a few different restaurants. I rather walk around than grab food from here.
Only thing that is good is the tater tots, and carnitas (only reason why it has two stars and why I would eat there)…everything else is Meh. I tried a breakfast burrito, and it was no bueno. Things aren’t prepared/​its pre-​preped. Meh.
There’s a signage outside stating that the seating area is only for patrons, and of course people would pay no attention. I was in there one day and there were some ladies who weren’t patrons, and the mgr from the building comes in and yells at them. That’s so unprofessional! Why would u raise ur voice, make a scene, and embarass them? Could have whispered that next time, finish your lunch but in the future, the seating area is only for patrons. He came back a few times and kept looking at them. The ladies said, we’ll finish our lunch and won’t do that again. Dude, so unprofessional, not cool.
Glad that the mexiterrian truck is outside.
