Love their beef empanadas, the place is quaint and nice. Very clean. Good service and prices. I get the combo that comes with a choice of 3 empanadas, side order and a soda. Yummy!!!

I wouldn’t say I’m a connoisseur of the empanada, but I’ve had a bunch over the years from around California, and they’re all a bit different. I never fell for them like I did tacos or papusas or dumplings. But the ones from The Empanada Factory challenged that. These are the best tasting, most consistent and most reasonably priced I’ve found. Plus, the utterly addictive chimichurri puts this place over the top. A Favorite. Pretty much everything is good on the menu except(in my humble opinion) the sandwiches. The fries, garlic fries, tater tots and onion rings are not to be underestimated. The yerba maté is hot or cold, and you can buy it dry to make yourself at home. There’s dulce de leche available as a side order. You can buy the dulce or the chimichurri in containers to-go(and put on all sorts of other things at home; I like the chimi on bread). What about the actual empas? My favorites are spicy steak, onion-mozzarella, and eggplant, but chicken-egg is nice too. There’s mozzarella as well, and dessert ones. Adventurous types will enjoy the somewhat sweet lamb-raisin option, and the veggie options are decent too. No duds really. They even have a tomato-basil-mozzarella empa for Italophiles. While the brick-and-mortar location is attractive and hospitable, it isn’t for parties, meetings, being loud, etc. It’s for take-out, and there’s room for a handful of diners. The bulk prices are very very worth it for groups. Send someone on an empa run. Delivery works too.

First time eating at The Empanada Factory and I can say it was absolutely delicious. They had many choices of empanadas with a good menu to follow. It is a small hole in the wall restaurant and has tables and chairs to dine inside. A good place to just stop by for a quick lunch or dinner. They do have take out as well. I recommend this place to everyone. Service was great and workers were very nice. Meter parking available.

Small place, decent empanadas. Ordered a combo with 6 empanadas(chicken, mozzarella tomato & basil, apple, corn, pepperoni, and ham & cheese), two sides(tater tots and onion rings), and two drinks to split for about $ 18. By far, the best was the chicken, most of the others were a bit bland. Very filling, I could only finish the equivalent of 2 empanadas and half my side. There are so many options, I would like to come back and try a few different types/flavors. The toasted labeling of each empanada was great, so you know what you are biting into before a surprise. The dining area inside has about two tables and seats, maybe, 8 people. Parking is a bit difficult with street meters. Since we went on a Sunday afternoon, it wasn’t too bad but I could imagine it being worse on a weekday or lunchtime.

Good BAKED empanadas. Since I have a lot of options in LA, it is not worth the drive for me to go there just for that but if happen to be in the area, it is a good place to drop by. Like the seating all the way in the back(more privacy).

Part of what I like about the Empanada Factory is it feels like the little secret hole in the wall that you tell your friends about. It’s not much more than a storefront, but they do have a couple of tables. Most folks do take out or delivery, but we ate in. We each got Combo 1(two empanadas and a side and drink). I went with the chicken empanada, the lamb empanada, and onion rings — all were great! She went with the mushroom empanada, the corn empanada, and the tater tots — she thought the empanadas were good, and I thought the tots were great. And, it all comes with a side of some kind of chimichurri type sauce that’s darn good for dipping! We’re looking forward to going back and trying other flavors!

I ordered the Combo where I choose 3 Empanadas, 1 side and a drink for just under $ 10. I chose a Corn, Lamb and Chicken Empanada for my 3. They were great! For my side I ordered Garbonzos Provenza. Also really good! This place os very clean and the food is delicious and at a fair price! The only bummer is it is pretty small so coming in with a large group is a no go. Also, there is no restroom available. I would highly recommend this place for lunch!

I would give it 4.5 stars if I could. Really delicious but maybe a half star off because the portions are small for the price.(it is about $ 3 per empanada, which seems high for a city with $ 1 tacos everywhere you look.) The empanadas are baked not deep fried, which is nice. Also the veggie options are great.

I’m not much of a contributor but I found it necessary to share my experience with anyone on the fence about this place. GO! GONOW! I had the chicken, spicy steak, and the veggie empanada. My personal favorite was the veggie, but the other two were amazing. Anyone who’s rated this place less than 5 stars has no taste buds. It’s simple and delicious food that’s priced right.

I would kill a drifter for one of the lamb empanadas from this place. Fortunately for everyone involved(especially the drifter community), I don’t have to. They sell these things for, like, 2 bucks. That’s way less than the cost of the roofies, rope, and box cutter that I would need to buy if they only accepted hobo scalps as currency, like the competition does.

Meh. This place is OK I guess. Definitely not 4 stars in my opinion Pepperoni and cheese — Good. Tasted like a hot pocket but better. Cheese and onion — Horrible. Didn’t even finish it. I was expecting a cheesy empanada with carmelized onions. What I got was a ridiculous amount of watery onions with a tiny little bit of cheese. I took a bite of it and a bunch of onion water exploded in my mouth. Skip this one! Spicy steak — pretty good. Nothing too special. Veggie — Meh. Tasted like frozen vegetables mashed and reheated. Dulce de leche — there was literally a small table spoon on dulce de leche and the rest of the empanada was just air in the middle. Another thing, it’s 3 $ for delivery and they make you do a minimum of 2 $ tip. Not worth it at all. Don’t think I will be ordering from here again. Empanada’s place on sawtelle is WAAAAY better.

If you aren’t used to good Argentinian empanadas, these are ok. I figure that’s why this place has so many 5 star reviews. Lots of «This is the first time I ever tried empanadas» reviews… But, if you know what a good traditional Argentinian empanada should taste like… These are just much too bland. It probably stems from the fact that they use too much flour in the crust and don’t put enough filling inside. I’m not saying these are bad. Just not very good. But! If you’ve never had empanadas before… you might like these.

So I went to the Camarillo Fiesta and the empanada Factory was there so I had to get one and I ended up getting 4. They are delicious. I had the chicken and the ground beef and they were both delicious but the ground beef was my favorite. I love the salty olives in there and the delicious sauce they serve on the side. I wish I lived closer to them because I don’t want to wait til next year at the Fiesta to get another.

I’ve never tried empanadas before so I was curious after hearing great reviews from friends. The store itself is a little hole in the wall, which to me means the food will be amazing. The workers were friendly and very efficient at placing customers orders and I was impressed right away while waiting in line. For $ 2.50 each these empanadas are a bang for your buck and they taste delicious! I ordered the beef and the lamb with a side of their jalapeño chimichurri and they both were so good. The filling is flavorful and the sauce was a perfect complement. If you’re in the area, give empanadas factory a try. My boyfriend and I made a second trip back on the same day to bring some home because they were that good!

Location is Robertson-Beverlywood. Easy to find because of the HUGE sign outside, though close parking can be difficult. Though I drove through the back alleyway to see if there was parking, but the buildings on the block are so tight that I could not tell if there are any designated spots for this business. I lucked out and got a meter in front. This place is super-small, and they still offer a single table indoors and a single table outdoors to eat on-site, but this is best for take-out. I love that they have a bunch of empanadas ready to go in different flavors. I decided to purchase a dozen to take home and try, and the biggest challenge was to select only 12, while getting enough for the 2 other people at home to try a variety. The apple was a must — had to allow for one per person of the sweet stuff. Also got the Tomato Basil, which I expected to be more of a tomato sauce, and learned it is real chunky pieces of tomato. Also got a Three Cheese, which is a winner. They had two Mushroom varieties: Mushroom Spinach and Mushroom Onion. I asked for the Mushroom Spinich, but I’m not honestly certain if there’s a chance the person who helped me gave me the Mushroom Onion. Yes, all of the empanadas are stamped, but all these tasties read was«Mushroom»…Which brings me to another and very cool point: Not TOO much of a guessing game about what you will be eating: Each empanada is stamped with it’s flavor name! Overall, each empanada(large) is generously filled, and very tasty. They have other menu options like sandwiches, but the empanadas come in two sizes and are a great option for catering or appetizers — or, a couple can make a great lunch or dinner. Will be back!

Seems to me that empanadas are becoming more and more popular in LA the last few years, with new empanada shops popping up all over town. The Empanada Factory is one of the first, and while it doesn’t have the variety of Nonna’s a few miles away, it also doesn’t have the prices. The Empanada factory makes delicious empanadas with delicious complimentary chimichurri in three flavors. Here’s the skinny: 1) Delicious empanadas that come in about a dozen different flavors: Tastes vary, but I highly recommend trying the chicken and corn empanadas here. Both are awesome. Other people swear by the steak and ground beef empanadas. I suggest trying it with a flavored chimichurri sauce. Also, the dulce de leche empanada… damn. So damn good. It takes then 15 minutes to make, so order it with your initial order of empanadas and by the time you go through your other empanadas your dessert is ready. 2) Restricted hours and spartan interior: This is the primary reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. The factory is closed on Sundays! Common, that sucks for those of us craving a random empanada on a sweet Sunday afternoon. What’s worse, they don’t stay open late during the week, and we all know the late hours are when an empanada craving is most likely to strike. The place is small and the seats rickety. No real decorations, something I would classify as an unintentional«minimalist» aesthetic to the place. 3) Plentiful parking — You can park at meters in front of the place(like a suckaaaa) or you can go to the residential streets next door and usually find plentiful free parking. Either way, parking shouldn’t be an issue, a welcome luxury in LA. Ride the empanada wave.

This is a pretty gooood little hole in the wall empanada stop. They are so delicious! The spicy steak was really good and not too spicy but a lot of flavor. The eggplant was out of this world delicious. And the lamb was so tender and juicy and oh so good. There homemade chimichurri makes everything come together so well. As for the restaurant itself, bleh. It’s just really stuffy and hot with no air conditioning on the day I went. But there is outside seating. Our meal was delicious! Definitely will be back!
