The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf

I enjoy coffee bean and Tea Leaf so much more than Starbucks. Plus this is a great central location.
Love the people that work here also.

Place is clean, nice seating prices are bit high for me but still the coffee is good to the point im not worried, cups could be bigger

Coffee Bean has been my favorite ever since. This location is pretty big. Big seating space inside and outside and open on holidays. Staff are friendly and this location is clean and organized too.

This was my first time stopping in at this location before attending my concert across the street at the Hollywood Palladium. I placed my order for my usual large Hot Vanilla and was charge a little bit more than usual, but went ahead and paid for it. While my drink was being prepared, I thought I would question the price I was charged and it turned out that the gal (I didn’t get her name, but she was extremely nice) accidently charged me for a Vanilla Latte. I was told she didn’t have access to refund my transaction and charge me the correct amount and that I would have to wait until her manager, who has the access, to come back from a break. I patiently waited about 5 minutes. for the manager to return from her break to fix the problem. I was told by the manager that my drink was on the house for their mistake. This was very nice of the manager and my mistake was to ask for a receipt showing my refund. As a few days passed I noticed in my checking account that I was charged for the high priced Hot Vanilla and no refund.
The moral of this review is to always ask for your receipt as I always do, but on this one occasion, I decided to take the managers word. It was a nice gesture of the manager, but next time you tell your customers that their drinks are on the house, make sure it is!

If I drink coffee outside, Coffee Bean is my first choice.
They have great coffee with rich flavor and aroma.

One of the best CBTL locations I’ve been to. It’s such a great location and view is pretty damn amazing. It’s a large place. Plenty of tables inside to accommodate every, with large tables. However, I’m more interested in the outside seating. There are tables, chairs, and bench/​metal sofa style seating outside. It’s very relaxing to be sitting outside with a book, and enjoying the view on a nice day. You can see the high rises in the area.
The service was quick, so I didn’t have much interaction with the staff. Got my iced office and walked directly outside. I also like the fact that this location has 2 restrooms, as most only have one. I’m guessing it’s the area, but I ended up waiting for forever just to take a leak. Not to mention that a man & woman stepped out of the same bathroom after 10 minutes or so of waiting. I don’t doubt they were getting busy inside the toilet. They definitely didn’t purchase anything, but because of the location there are plenty of characters that make it into the shop. Trash happens! Oh well.
I’ll be back with my books!

This is a big coffee bean in Hollywood area, a place where you can actually sit down and get work done. I like that they have almond milk as an option, which sets it apart from Starbucks. Street parking is right by the shop, widely available and convenient at night. Stopping by to get my extra hot latte as usual. Overall it’s a great location!

This coffee bean is in a very convenient location and I really like that they have a lot of indoor and outdoor seating. A lot of places in this area do not have nearly enough seating for the amount of people, but I never found that to be a problem here. The parking however is a problem and there is street parking, but almost never available. The drinks here are made pretty quickly and I really like the fact that they have almond coconut milk available, unlike Starbucks. Staff here is pretty friendly as well.

All the CB baristas in Hollywood are the best. I used to frequent the one by Hollywood and Highland back in the day, but I usually go to the Sunset and Vine location now. My go to is their Jasmine Dragon tea or if I’m feeling adventurous, a pomegranate blueberry tea latte — lactose intolerance be damned!
The tea is easy but it’s always the latte that people get wrong. Always too watery. But I have yet to have a bad drink in Hollywood. We have our own coffee bar at work, as well as Starbucks right next door. But I would still rather make the trek to CB when I can. Something about the quality of their drinks… it can’t be beat!

This review was when they first opened so it may have improved since then. But, I’d definitely cross Sunset to Starbucks unless I had no other choice.
I ordered coffee/​deserts on three separate occasions and each time the staff was put off by my wanting to give them money — as if I was inconveniencing them. I don’t need crap with my coffee! Go to Starbucks just across the street.
The outdoor seating is convenient and safe — but the social atmosphere is a zero and it’s stressful.

Super friendly staff, fast service, and a great environment. The latte I ordered was pretty bomb. com. Also the raisin bran muffin was great on my returning flight home :) (way better than airplane food).

Staff is very nice. Place is clean. I also like the outdoor seating for people watching on Sunset Blvd. Nice location.

I love coming to gwt my coffe /​tea here. Everyone is so nice. The service is good and fast. Even the customers are nice.

I’ve been going to this place for years. Everybody is always very friendly and the drinks are consistently good. It’s a place where you get what you expect.

The service isn’t bad but sometimes the workers have short tempered attitudes when they get a rush. For example, when someone is putting their change in their wallet after they paid and is still standing in front of the cashier, the cashier will yell «NEXT!» when the person in front of me is still there. I am forced to just order away from the register.
Jeeze like calm down it’s just coffee. It’s not like they’re preparing a meal. Regardless, even if it’s at a slower time of the day and no one is there, the drinks take a while anyways so I don’t know why they’re trying to force people to order right away.
I come here all the time because I work like two stores away. Even though less people go here drinks are made slower than Starbucks, which is way busier than coffee bean.

If you know me, you know I’m a tough cookie to win over so it’s been awhile since I’ve updated my last review but it’s time to bump this CBTL location back to the 5 stars they rightly deserve!
Rosie and the majority of the staff are A.W.E.S.O.M.E!!! I visit them once or twice daily, during the week so I know most of the morning staff but sometimes the afternoons can get a little odd with the folks I’m not as familiar with.
These guys are the greatest. they have great spirit alone and together are an amazing team. They know all of their regulars by first name and they know their orders. My drink continues to meet me at the register or not long after I’ve ordered. They have the warmest, most genuine compliments to brighten your day. I can’t say enough about them.
Pay them a visit, you won’t be disappointed — if you are — you can blame me ;)
I’ve also ordered «catering» from them a few times since my last review and it’s delicious! Service is nothing short of spectacular. If you are looking for coffee jugs and an assortment of pastries — you can rest assured they can handle your smaller scale morning/​afternoon or pick me up meeting needs.
