I’d been craving some hookah and wasn’t too sure if it was weird to go to a hookah bar all by myself. However, I had an evening to kill and a book to read so I decided to pop on in. This place is tucked away in an almost hidden neighborhood behind a main street. There are barber shops and places to eat, all tucked away on this quiet street. This place is conducive to both couples/groups and single smokers. There are 4 couches all facing a wall with a TV and a gorgeous display of hookahs. I took a spot on the first couch where I could look out at the quiet neighborhood in between chapters of my book. I smoked a melon medley flavor that was smooth and never hit harsh once. The hookah-tenders were attentive and came by now and again to refresh my coals. This place is not a traditional hookah place and is more trendy, so keep that in mind before going. This is great for a hookah fix and I would definitely go back soon, however, if you want a traditional or authentic hookah experience(we are talkin Turkish coffee and food) then maybe this won’t be your spot. They do have complimentary coffee and water, and the sodas are pretty cheap. I would definitely come back for a chill night of reading, hookah, and good music!

Nice little out of the way place to just chill and hang out. They have a great assortment of hookahs for sale all very nicely displayed. Very attentive and friendly staff. Great variety of flavored to choose from as well. They have free refreshments for customers as well. A do over for sure.

Love this place. I like how it doesn’t feel like a nasty sticky poorly cleaned typical hookah place with college bros and a club like atmosphere. This is the opposite of that and now my main place.

While trying to multi-task one too many things, I dropped my e-cigg kit, and watched in horror as my Aspire Nautilus glass tank shattered on the pavement. After the verbal barrage I unleashed on said pavement was over, I started calling around to nearby vape shops to try to find a replacement. Candy Bar was close by, and when I called they apologized for not having just the glass replacement, but did offer to sell me a new Nautilus BVC, which they had some stock of. Seeing as I was desperate, I took them up on it and popped on by. As others have said, parking isn’t easy around here, especially if you’re driving a larger vehicle(I had a massive SUV for this trip). Once you get inside, it’s an interesting combo lounge/shop, and the gentleman behind the counter was quick to remember my name and pulled out the BVC kit he’d set aside for me. I then started to peruse the counter area, and quickly took him up on some additional batteries for my eVic Supreme, and left in far better spirits than when I’d come in. While Candy Bar may not have a wide variety of vaping accessories, what they do have is of high quality and provided with great customer service.

Chill night. Good music. Tv. Free green tea and wrapped in their complimentary throw. I literally got lost for a second… Enjoying the dimly lit hookah displays and nice staff that are very welcoming. No crowd just a quiet little nook to hide away from the world

This place is really cute !!! Great for couples… However… Parking is not easy to find on a busy night. A little pricey for what you get. Staff was decent, only one girl working there was great, everyone else was very bland. Menu is okay. They definitely have some things to improve. But, this is a new business, so they are up and coming. I’ve only been once, maybe will go again in a few weeks, to see how it is a second time around. Then i’ll update this review.

Hi Robbie! I tried calling in today to see if you had ordered more atomizers for the Nautilus mini? I was there on Saturday and was told that you may be getting more in soon. Today I tried calling in and there must be something wrong with your phone line cuz I keep getting disconnected after the first ring. :-(this isn’t really a review I know that you check your Unilocal periodically just thought i’d give you the heads up

I always have trouble finding hookah places that are not a club. Candy Bar is small, two seats in the back, two at the small bar, and a couple couches. They’re priced competitively, I think I paid 16 $, but they were high quality hookahs, apple-on-top, and a ton of flavors available. Music was not loud, which is the most that I hope for. A couple TV’s, average staff. Maybe it’s an LA thing with the smaller shops, but there’s places in Detroit that have the same atmosphere and triple the space. This was my first hookah stop in LA, so maybe some other places will give me a better frame of reference. Two other places knocked down, Candy Bar is clearly better. Bumped up to 4*

I loved the place. It was beyond of my hoppings. Staff are too friendly and helpful about the choices. First time in my life i tried something different from starbuzz and al fakher, and i still miss its taste! Just ask for advice, and take it blindly you will love it.

So me and my friends decided to take a trip to Venice beach. We ate burgers, walked around for a bit and then Unilocaled the nearest hookah lounge that was open.(Got here around 445pm) Most hookah lounges don’t open till 5 – 6 in Southern California. So we read the reviews and decided to check it out. I am kind of a hookah whore and have worked for the Starbuzz company as well as sold hookahs and hookah accessories so this is what I think of The Candy Shoppe: Pros: 1.) Variety of brands and flavors; 2.) Hookah hits well and gives sufficient clouds; 3.) Couches are comfortable; 4.) Staff is friendly; 5.) Looks clean and new inside. Cons: 1.) VERYSMALL!!! They need to expand ASAP; 2.) They DONOT sell food or drinks; 3.) They DONOT allow food or drinks(«We can get fined»); 4.) They use Sahara hookahs. Khalil Mamoon is way better(trust me); 5.) They do not offer different kinds of heads [ONLY AppleOnTop — Which is a fake apple] Would be nice to offer: Clay, Lotus, fruit heads etc. 6.) We ordered lemon mint by Fumari, one of my favorite flavors by Fumari. And first of all, it took like 25 minutes to get the hookah(there’s like 6 people here!) and secondly, we didn’t get checked on after 30 minutes of receiving our hookah; 7.) PRICESAREOUTRAGEOUS! $ 16 for happy hour and $ 18 after happy hour. LMAO! The only time I’ve paid 18+ for a hookah was in Hollywood. Insane! It’s near Inglewood, I wouldn’t charge 16+ for hookah if I lived in a community known to have 45% pop. low income. I wouldn’t recommend this place for big groups. Big no no! Nor if you want to dance and stuff like that. Come here to study or on a date I guess.

Went here after dropping my friend at LAX and was pleasantly surprised. The bowls are perfectly packed and the set up is superb. The guys working there are attentive and take care of all the customers consistently! TVs, gorgeous hookahs, and a chill ambiance got me like woah! I’m a daily hookah smoker and a shisha brat. Al Fahker in the Candybar for my fave grape mint concoction. Bonus-free coffee, tea, and candy-appropriately!

Amazing experience. A true gem on a quiet block. Came in from out of town staying by LAX and this is exactly what I needed. I didn’t even know a Hookah Bar could be like this… not trashy, but classy. Super comfortable lounge environment. Umm, yeah COMPLIMENTARY coffee, tea, water to top it off. Wish I lived around the corner.

Cute hookah shop. They have couches separated by drapes to make for a personal comfy ambiance. They have a nice shop of really nice hookahs etc. we tried the lemon mint flavor which was really good. It’s very clean with nice service. Al helped us out, and he was very«ready to please». They have complimentary tea and coffee. Two thumbs up. Not your typical hookah lounge. Would come back in a heartbeat

This place is the opposite of most other hookah bars, aka its actually good. They clean their hookahs and use good equipment and accessories. Their hookahs are way smoother and last way longer than any other place. The customer service is phenomenal. The place is very comfortable with couches, chess, tv’s, music playing at the perfect volume, etc. Excellent. Keep it up Candy Bar.
