I highly recommend this place for the trendy, yet frugal shopper. Its 10 to get in, and last time i was there clothes were selling for 7 $ a pound. FANTASTIC. Totally unexpected options for a warehouse in the dark streets of dtown LA. there are BINSOFCLOTHINGEVERYWHERE! all categorized, from dresses, tops, belts and even BINSOFFURANDLEATHER. all selling by the pound! It’s absolutely fabouous! I try to come here every month.

I love The Boogie Den! 5 bands, $ 10, OPENBAR!!! Not really a vintage clothes shopper, but for those who love ‘em this monthly event takes place in an awesome vintage clothes warehouse, so come on down for great music, cheap cloths, and Free Drinks! Plus the taco truck outside is pretty awesome.

We got there around 9pm, and it wasn’t too crowded. Most of the apparel, bags, and shoes were old, but I ended up finding a belt and scarf for cheap. You really have to dig. The band was pretty good, but there were only so many options at the open bar. $ 10 cover.

First impressions are funny things… Ignore what you think when you first drive by the Boogie Den. Some of the best things are hidden in funny places… The Boogie Den really does have what they say they have: open bar, vintage-clothes-by-the-pound, and a downright incredible taco truck that I, for one, would like to chain my car to, and just spend my days following around town, celebrating tacos and burritos in all their splendor. Try the cabeza. But what the Boogie Den doesn’t advertise is that it is actually –fun-. No douchebag shiny-shirt club dudes, no seriously pretentious punk rockers(ok, maybe a few, but not en masse), just a good number of people(yeah, it gets kinda packed) enjoying the stellar live music. And the open bar. And the clothes. Don’t be surprised to find a few folks passed out in the forklift-pallette sized boxes of vintage clothes, and don’t be surprised to find yourself finding a new favorite band, a new favorite taco, AND a new favorite outfit.
