Really amazing food! We got the tacos, and burrito with asada and chorizo. Also got the asada fries. Yum! Customer service was great, no complaints here!

Just visited for the 2nd time… food is cheap, flavor descent nothing spectacular. You get what you pay for.
I’m saddened by the consistent poor customer service generally rendered in the hood. Today Tha cashier was friendly, this is a plus. The wait, however was excessive. I along with only one other car were in the drive thru and the wait was approx 20 mins!!!
During the last visit, I was the only customer in line and the cashier was extremely rude. She threw the food at me, and got upset when I requested condiments.
I called their headquarters and was told «sorry the best thing I can do is tell the manager, we don’t have coupons or anything like that. If you come back hopefully it’ll be better».

I’ve passed by this place for ages and I finally stopped to order. I’ve been missing out. Their tacos and chicken burritos are the bomb! The chicken is seasoned perfectly. Their French fries are good and their sodas are the perfect cherry on the top of your meal. I don’t care for their customer service. Most of the young ladies who take the orders and works the drive through window are extremely rude which is a major turn off, but I would definitely eat there again… I still do.

The tacos are still awesome. I take out-​of-​towners to Tacos El Unico now. The restaurant itself is lacking in ambience, but who needs ambience when you’ve got tacos THIS good? They are not hiding behind ambience – you pay for a taco, and they give you a mind blowing taco.
And get the red salsa. It’s super spicy yet flavorful.

I came down here from Northern California. Was at a car show all day and didnt eat anything all day and this was late evening. Found this place and looked ok. Went inside and didnt look welcoming at all kind of looked like the inside of a county jail with bars on the cashiers windows and tables that look like they too just came out the LACO jail. I ordered my usual any mexican place I go to: 2 Carne Asada Tacos and a Carne Asada Burrito. After waiting for a while the prder came out and whate and numerous others that were with me was «questionable» carne asada. We still ate anyway since we were at the point of starving. Usually once starving almost anyone can eat just about anything and be happy. We as a group were not happy and won’t be returning.

There’s nothing good in this area to eat idont know why I’ve gone to almost all of the restaurants in this area that they have and I’m sorry to say everything is horrible dirty and old the food is bad quality in all of crenshaw this joint for Mexican food was just so awful um never coming to eat here again and u shouldn’t eat here at all the prices are outrageous really high for the quality of the food they serve it should coat less to eat here tacos are super small

The reason I’m giving them 3 starts is because the workers do not know the meaning of customer service. They talk to you with an attitude. Other than that, their carne asada burrito is really good. It’s my favorite.

This isn’t my favorite place to eat but the sopes do deserve 5 stars. I only gave it 4 because I always say no Chile or onions on my burritos and they put it anyway. Really ruins the burrito. Other than that the foods delicious.

Two words: Torta and Horchata
The food is pretty good for a small joint.
It doesn’t taste fake and the prices are just right.
They have mini cheeseburgers and they are SO GOOD!
Carne asada fries though, I would say go to LAX for those, but for anything else Mexican go to Tacos Unicos!

Would like to take my old review back because of the new and improved restaurant with free refils and all the sauce and everything is at your reach and dont have to worry about asking for more, service has gotten better as well and you dont have torder through an opening on the wall anymore, I know I said I was never returning but a cousin really wanted some so we went and it was a great decision as we saw the new and improved restaurant, nachos are still on point like always

The food is good. I ordered chicken fries (basically carne asada fries with chicken instead of red meat). The chicken was well seasoned (which is great because sometime you’ll find they just boil it and serve it as is). It came with cheese, pico de gallo (although they claim to not have pico de gallo, they have onions, tomato and cilantro — okay). It also had guacamole and sour cream. I probably paid $ 11 for it. I don’t remember but they give you a lot. I don’t have a pic, I virtually inhaled it as soon as I pulled back the cover. Lol smh.
My only issue with the place is the drug addict pretending to be pregnant (she was just fat) came in begging for money. Left all the change she was given and only kept the dollars. They should’ve put her out but hey, I guess it’s the location.

Metro keeps hectoring me to eat local, so I do.
Carne asada fries: not as good as I had hoped. Fine taste, but dry. But still… it’s taters, meat, and cheese. You can’t go wrong.
Wet burrito al pastor: Big as your head and tasty through and through.
I’m willing to give the new Mexicano another go, but so far in a head to head competition, Tacos el Unico is winning.

The breakfast burrito was great, the el pastor was amazing had better tho. The horchata taste like cardboard ive had way better this is the worst horchata i ever had. The service was horrible, I was charged for 1.90 for a small horchata. The cashier have no idea what she’s doing. The food is ok but Im big on service

Worst customer service ever. Ordered a quesadilla with yellow cheese. When I got my order it was made with white cheese. I simply ask for them to change it and the worker got upset saying it’s the same thing n closed the window in my face. Then turns around n snatch the food out of my hand. Never mind keep the food just give me my money back in I won’t return. Their attitudes are really bad here.

I just left El Unico food was great service sucked. The cashier seem like he really didn’t want to help me. It was as if he didn’t want to be at work. He didn’t even acknowledge that a was standing there for a least 5 mins. The cook looked & smiled at me but not the cashier. I am a regular customer there & I would hate to have to stop coming here because of one person having a bad day or whatever was going on but I will give it one more chance. I hope someone sees this & help him adjust his attitude or find hisself another job.

This is my go to spot. The guy running the drive thru is typically obnoxious and has no etiquette. Chubby light skinned Hispanic man (Eric, speak to him about the level of service and the way in which you would deem appropriate for your drive thru window) The food tastes fresh and the food quality is consistent.
This restaurant has had a bunch of structural changes and is looking really nice, see you soon.
