Amazing location and they’re open late. I left my wallet there, this guy found it and gave it back. Please stop by this Hollywood taco shop. Carne as adada tacos. Taqueria.

Best tacos al pastor I’ve ever had! They have the pineapple on top of the shawarma style pork — if you know what I mean. This place is basically a guy on the sidewalk with a grill making some of the best and fastest tacos you can find. There are also some picnic table style benches and tables in the«restaurant» for seating. They were so good that my girlfriend and I had to stop back the next day for more tacos($ 10 for 8 tacos). The food was 5 stars for sure. The only reason I’m not leaving a 5 star review is because they have a «B» health rating(but what more can you expect from a guy grilling on the sidewalk). Parking in that neighborhood can also be challenging. The chicken and beef tacos were very good too. Going to stop back there and try more of their food, but not leaving without more tacos al pastor!

There’s something about walking out of a bar or club after closing, and the smell of bacon wrapped hot dogs, or tacos being in the air… Priceless! LOL The tacos are $ 2 here, are very tasty and made to order. They offer al pastor, cabeza, buche, and carne asada on a spindle. The stand sits outside the small restaurant, and you pay inside. They also offer burritos, sodas and water inside. Tacos El Patio is conveniently located next door to La Descarga in Hollywood. A great place to hit after clubbing. You won’t be disappointed!!!

we pulled over cause I saw the pastor spit even after we just had a late supper at sanamluang less than 5 minutes before. there is no better way having al pastor and T.E.P. late night street stand did not disappoint. only wish, they need spit guards on the onions and cilantro trays for the bar heads next door especially when theyre sloshed. an easy fix that night was to dig below the top layer and get ones way in the bottom, viola.

There have been several time when I cannot get them to serve me. Other people have pushed me out of line to be served before me. They just ignore me.

I moved to a new house two blocks away from this taqueria and ii has become my fav Mex restaurant in L.A. Hi five to the best tacos I have ever had. I highly recommend the regular chicken tacos, it sounds like something classic and standard but these guys add a sauce that makes the tacos so unique. Two tacos are enough no matter how hungry you are, this means you got your lunch here for $ 5.

Soooo good. Would recommend this over and over :) Went to el matador before, but wanted rice so I found this place and the guy convinced me to try a taco and I didn’t eat any more of the other tacos.

This place is aaaaamazing when you stumble out of the club next door extremely drunk and are waiting for your Über and don’t care what you put in your mouth. Other than that I’m grossed out. As I’m standing there munching on my chicken taco because they ran out of steak I’m watching the only employee run back and forth from the grill outside to the cash register inside. This man handles the money AND the food. Sure he rinsed off his hands with water and NO soap. This man handles materials that are never sanitized and passed around by god knows how many people and especially a currency($ 1 and $ 5) that is handled by homeless people the most. Do you think homeless people have wallets? No. I’ve seen many homeless people house their money in their socks or underwear. Yuck. I’m sure rinsing your hands with plain water will really get those germs off. This place has a B rating that you don’t see when you order your food with the man at the grill and only when you come across the corner.

yeah these tacos are legit. stopped by here since I always see people hanging out after the club next door gets out eating tacos. the service is fast and the sauce on the side is very flavorful and has a kick with the habaneros. good and cheap my two favorit combos. parking is a bit limited but other than that a legit taco.

I had their lingua, asada and pollo tacos. The chicken one wasn’t my favorite but the asada and the lengua were really juice and yummy!!! Hubby has the chorizo quesadilla, which he really wanted the chicken but accidentally ordered the chorizo. He said it didn’t disappoint. He has had chorizo quesadillas before and it wasn’t that good but this place made it pretty good. The taco stand is located right next to a night club, so you get to see all the crazies waiting in line to get in and come out to grab a quick bite to eat before re-entering the club. It was pretty awesome that they had a sitting area in the back which was surprisingly enough very quiet. Enjoyed our time here and will defiantly come back for more.

Al Pastor street tacos in Hollywood after a night of cocktails at La Descarga(next door) is an absolute foodie/bar date that everyone should add to their tastebud’s bucket list! Their cheese quesadillas are excellent too. In fact, everything on the menu is pretty great for late night Mexican if you want the real thing! If you think Taco Bell is food, this is not the place for you. This is a perfect late-night street food affair, enjoy the atmosphere of other foodies and club goers standing around waiting for their delicious orders to slide under the window. If you don’t know how to order Mexican food, stand back in line and watch the pros, before you get up to the window and hold up the line! Street parking. I’m guessing cash only. They’ve got some seating, but this is a take-away and eating on the spot sorta deal.

Nothing beats street tacos fresh off the grill on the sidewalk in Hollywood. Located conveniently next to the happenin’ La Descarga, it’s best to hang to the right and grab several of these tacos before giving your ticket to valet. Full of flavor from the marinade, these tacos are great as is, but if you opt to garnish them, there are lots of options including: onions & cilantro, pico de gallo, cucumbers, and more! Just be careful on the hot sauce because its full of heat!

Visited immediately following a night of revelry at La Descarga. Atmosphere/Vibe Okay, first and foremost it’s a taqueria. For a taqueria, there’s only one milieu requirement — atmósfera auténtico, and this spot has it in droves. Replete with an homage to the Virgin Mary, some rosaries, bright colors and a painted-on-the-cement-wall menu, Taco’s El Patio(yes apostrophe, no website) is the L.A. equivalent of.. .well, L.A., but still — it harkens one to thoughts of Tijuana, or Juarez prior to the cartel takeover. The(clean) kitchen is open and viewable, so you can watch the chef make your favorite meat, whether it’s lengua, al pastor, pollo or even cabeza. After you order, the debauchery takes place under a tent in the back — that is, if you don’t want to eat at the narrow counter by the register — where you can listen to the best in bolero, ranchero, cumbias & tomborazo. Food A big must for me while dining at a taqueria is a salsa bar; very telling of a spot & its ownership. Some places have one, maybe two salsas(rojo y verde) and others offer lime/lemon, maybe some jalapeños and if you’re really lucky, you’ll encounter my favorite — sliced, marinated carrots with onion & cauliflower. One look at the bar of Taco’s El Patio and I was in Cielo. TEP has all of the above, and while waiting for my food, I filled up my container and drunkenly got down on those carrots.. .only one thing was off — those are NOT carrots. In true auténtico fashion, my mouth caught fire after one bite. Being a bit of a gardener myself, I was able to instantly recognize the source of this capsaicin — the mighty habanero. Yes, folks, those unassuming orange-colored slivers are quite literally 1,000,000 Scoville Heat units of flavor waiting to burst in your mouth.. or your taco. After more bebidas frías — horchata, jamaica & mexican soda(real sugar) — my tacos were ready, as well as the burritos and tortas ordered by my cohort. One look at the tacos and we knew this was the right spot — tiny, street tortillas bulging with meat, onion & cilantro; fully authentic, and deliciously juicy. We ended up utilizing the salsa bar to its full extent, habaneros & all, and going back for seconds.. .and thirds.. .for a total of ten tacos, a testament to their size as well as their deliciousness. Each taco was only $ 1.25, so these are more than worth the price. The meat was awesome, the food was great and it gives one a glimpse into life en la calle. For Taco’s El Patio, it would be worth driving 7 miles off the freeway, but luckily the location is only one mile off the autopista. Eat and enjoy.

Ehhhh just okay. I had a veggie burrito and it was basically just beans and rice. I got all pumped when they were making it as the beans are cooked fresh but it actually tasted a little bland. It definitely needed more veggies and they didn’t put any avocado in it. Womp womp womp. A little more pricey than what I usually pay and they actually overcharged me. Juuust ok.

Great little find! I got stuck waiting to get into the cigar lounge next door and tried out Tacos El Patio. I’m glad I did. The meat options are what I look at when choosing a taco place. They have everything I want and made a nice combo plate for me. All the ingredients were fresh and the meat was seasoned perfectly. They have plenty of other options, but do a round of tacos first and try their variety of meats. I’ll be making this a regular stop before I grad some cigars next door.

Every time that I stumble out of La Descarga, I stop here for a quesadilla. The tortillas are homemade and at 1am they are the best thing ever. well excluding street dogs. I’ve tried the carne asada and chorizo quesadillas. I usually split it with my friend because it’s pretty big. But I devoured a whole one last time. Pros: — It’s orgasm good. In between bites this all you hear:(Mmm. OMG. Mmmm) — Delicious homemade tortillas. *drool* — You can pray to the little statue of La Virgin while you eat. ;) Cons: — Outdoor seating covered by a. tent? So I’m freezing in my little dress. — It’s so far away. I wish it was closer to me.

Well, this place must be happy that La Descarga opened up right next door. With that crowd spilling out at all late hours and nary a food truck or 24 hour Korean joint in sight, Tacos El Patio could dish out chopped-up shoe leather tacos and get plenty of business. Thankfully, shoe leather is not on the menu. I stopped in for a late night snack with a few friends after La Descarga, and we shared a bunch of food. My favorite item was the chorizo burrito, which had great seasoned sausage and good rice. It packed a decent amount of heat, which I always appreciate. Also good was a cabeza mulita. The meat was not very memorable, but I did like the crispy tortilla it came on. I was less thrilled with the lengua tacos, which were fair but no better, and the carne asada torta, which had lots of mayo and some lackluster meat. All of our food was improved by a great spicy pico and red and green salsas. We also ordered guacamole and chips, which were tasty. The guacamole was an acidic avocado salsa rather than the chunky stuff I associate with the word, but it was good. Tacos El Patio is not the kind of place I would seek out, but if I find myself at La Descarga again, the night might end on the cute lit patio next door. The food ranges from passable to pretty good, and that sounds like an appropriate level of quality for late night Mexican, after a couple of drinks.

Don’t judge a book by its cover. Tacos El Patio doesn’t look like much from the street but the tacos are the real deal. Already tipsy when I arrived at La Descarga, I saw Tacos El Patio and made a bee line. The guys working there were super friendly, super fast and I was mezmorized by the cocktail onions grilling in beefy oil. The al pastor tacos were excellent, full of flavor and the onions were the icing on the cake. Highly recommend having a few mojitos at La Descarga next door and grabbing some tacos at Tacos El Patio on your way out.
