Sadly the store is no longer in this location. It closed its doors a couple of years ago. You can shop via their online store though!

This is a scrapbook store for people who are creative with great taste. Think Architectural Digest, Veranda, Elle Décor. It is hip, cool and has beautiful supplies that compliment each other. The store is not terribly large. They offer great classes on one side of the store. Beautiful papers, glitter and the BEST albums.

#1 I do love the layout of the store and how vintage/shabby chic it is. #2 They gave me a cupcake and champagne during their anniversary sale #3 Did I mention it’s cute? But being as it’s geared towards scrappers and not a stamper like me, I didn’t find anything I really needed. Oh sure, I bought a ton of paper but a couple of years later, I’m still hoarding it like it’s gold or something. Still, I always have a good time when I come into the store. It’s fun to watch the girls in action during a class. I can’t give it 4 stars though, it’s a bit on the expensive side.

I had run across Sweetpeas and Snapshots on the web. I posted in my favorites and promised myself I would make the trip to the westside to check out this great store! The store itself was really nice it really was the mojo I needed to get excited and get home and scrapbook. I gave this place 3 stars because 1) it was cute 2) they had really cute supplies… however I did find it to be more over priced than my local scrapbook store and the service was not up to what the store was offering. They rarely asked if I needed help and they just continued with their business… so if they don’t need my business I will be sure not offer them any.

If I had an ounce of creativity, or an interesting life worth documenting, I would definitely hit Sweetpeas more often. I was in awe by all the stickers, ribbons, buttons, and funky paper. I also loved the old cottage vibe, and random scrapbook samples lying around. Finding the books became an Easter egg hunt, and a trip down memory lane. These were other people’s memories, of course, but I tried to relate(aka make everything about me). So inspiring was this store that I almost picked up a few supplies.(I changed my mind after experiencing a hot glue gun flash back that made the scare on my left shin burn again.) If you aren’t haunted by painful scrapbooking memories, you should definitely take advantage of this store. Don’t walk out with the nagging feeling that one day you’ll look back on your life, see a blank page, and wish you had a tool to help you remember.

Sweetpeas and snapshots is a vintage style scrapbooking store. They sell supplies, offer scrapbooking services and hold classes and private parties. The store design is a 3-D scrapbook itself. When you walk in there are ideas in the display window and hanging on the walls. They have unique products and get the creative juices flowing. I recently took a pocket photo album class. The instructor was a guest instructor and flew in to teach the class. The cost of the class included all the supplies. I loved what I made and showed it off to everyone. The class was structured so that everyone followed her design and made the same thing. This worked out just fine since I’m a novice and not really creative. I’m looking forward to taking another class. Check out their link to see descriptions of upcoming classes and for store hours. They close early during the week so the weekend might be your best bet if you want to just stop by. Parking is metered street parking. Happy scrapbooking!
